Hello, I seem to be having trouble reading comments from PLC in GX Developer. The PLC is an ACPU, Everytime I try to read comments using GX Developer I get the following error. "The comment was not read correctly". I found an old project from this PLC that has comments, But im unable to read any current ones. Anyone experienced this before?
Greetings everyone, I'm new to Mitsubishi PLCs and have run into something that probably requires more guidance then I can dig up on my own. I've been asked to upgrade 5 ACPU series to an IQ-R series(r08en-cpu to be exact). I have purchased gx works 3(includes gx works 2, and gx developer). I found some (almost useless) documentation on converting the program over. Thus far, I have done the following 1. opened gx developer, changed the plc type to q13udem, confirmed the changes, saved as a new file 2. opened gx works 2, opened other data file, selected the file I saved in step 1, saved this file in the new gx works 2 format 3. opened up gx works 3, and opened Gx Works 2 format file, and saved it as gx works 3. when I go to change the CPU type from the R120(or whatever default gx works 3 does without asking), to R08EN-CPU it bitches about not having a network card to the right of the CPU. is there an easy way to insert this module? or an easy way to shift all the cards down a slot to facilitate this? what other steps will I need to take to convert over an antique project such as this to an IQR my local distrubuter has been about as useful as a screen door on a submarine.
Hey guys, Just purchased the new GX Works 2 software to aid in re-programming an older ACPU processor. Currently having trouble getting a connection with the SC-09 cable via Usb serial converter cable. The processor is an A1SH and GX developer is version 8.119z. I've tried various serial port settings, 2 different USB converters and 2 different PCs(windows10 and windows7) to no avail. I did go back with our original DOS Medoc software(on an old XP computer with built in serial port) and was able to connect and upload the program so I know the SC-09 cable is good. The serial port settings I'm using are identical to what the Medoc settings are on the older PC. Not sure where to go from here. USB converter?(these work fine with some of the other software packages I currently use). Not real familiar with Mits, so there could be something simple I'm missing. I've attached a couple screen shots. One thing I did notice is that I get alternating comms errors when the SC-09 cable is connected. If I disconnect the SC09 cable I only get the 01808201 error which makes sense. What does the other error code 01802007 mean? Thanks in advance for any help. Kevin
