  5. GX Works2 & MX OPC Server 6.10 issue

Hello! What i am about to do is connecting an external SCADA system to a Mitsubishi PLC via OPC server. I have already made some FBs and included their instances in a program in GX Works2, then started a GX Simulator2 and connected it to an OPC Server. From the OPC configurator I have defined some tags with their corresponding device addresses (e.g. D12345). I am using structured variables which device addresses i am entering in the OPC configurator. Tried to make some full rebuild compiling and at first was happy that the devices remain unchanged. The main problem is that after some time this devices change which completely ruined my experiment. Maybe there is some point that I am missing or there is just no way to use a fully functional SCADA connected that way to the Mitsubishi PLC (by OPC)? The question is is there a way to tell a particularly used instance of a function block to have exactly the same device addresses ever.

  15. Hello,             I need to communicate Power meters ( GE Multilin EPM 5500P) to  GE Multilin EnerVista Software. The present communication system uses Ethernet for communication from LAN Switch to Computer. There are a few existing Power Meters which need to be connected to the  Network. The Meters having output ports as RS485. I need to use a convertor for that right. So when I contacted GE they told me to use GE Multilinet Serial to Ethernet Convertor. But due to the price and unavailability of the material I am thinking to use a universal convertor. Is that compatible for Multilin Devices?? and In Case of using a universal Convertor does we need any other drivers for that. Please Help Me.. 17. When M8029 off ?

i try to use M8029 to be able run pulse in sequence, i mean i can't use regular PLSY or DPLSY, it doesn't work. So i add M8029 to help clear it and make the plc able to make pulse again. But the problem, when the sequence is finish and i need to start again, plc doesn't give pulse again because the memory that set it on is already reset by M8029. how to set it on again or reset the M8029? By the way, i'm using FX3U-48MT. Thanks,I would really appreciate your help.

  19. Looking for some servo application help. Software: I have GX works 2, GT Designer, and GX Developer.  Hardware: PLC L06CPU-P, GOT2000 HMI, MR-J4-350B servo amps, HG-JR35JK motors, LD77MS2 Pulser I have (2) AC servos that will simply move an aluminum frame backwards and forwards using a FESTO belt mover and I have a servo gear reducer 20:1. I have a "simple motion module"and all of this hardware and software, plenty of time, and would really like to finish this project off. But this is my first servo and my first hmi project. I have some experience with Omron, Mitsubishi, and Allen-Bradley plc's, and consider myself novice at best. Any sample programs or help getting me started would be greatly appreciated!
  20. I want to do a calculation in the FX3u-48MT ESS and combine it with the input from HMI GOT1020. By the time i put input in the HMI with real number, and i calculate that with some equation just like in the manual as seen in the picture. I was confused when the result in the DINT is too many and in the pulse, it got minus, when it should be plus. Is there any way to fix this ? and how to round up the result correctly ? I really appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.
  21. I'm trying to overlay a text figure on top of a bit lamp. You'd think it'd be easy... but no matter what layer I set the lamp to, or how many times I click "Move to back of layer" from "Stacking order" in the right-click menu, the text figure stays behind the lamp. The only reason I'm using a text figure vs. just using the text function of the lamp is because I want the text to be vertical - a feature that you do not have with the text function of a lamp. Any ideas on how to fix this? Any help is greatly appreciated!

  23. Hi, I have encountered an unexpected "PRI" LED indication of 1756-RM Series B module. When the affected redundancy module is set to primary, the status of the "PRI" LED indicator is blinking red. On the other hand, it is set to a solid red when the RM is set as secondary. I have read the manual and there are only two expected behavior for the "PRI" LED indicator, green if it is set as the primary and off if it is secondary. Does someone encountered this scenario already?   P.S. The RM does not have any minor/major faults when accessed. The status indicator indicates "PRIM" when the affected module is set as primary and "SYNC" when set as secondary. Manual switchover between controllers are done and was successful. Thanks in advance! Regards, RIValencia
