  1. I have a project that run WinCC in a PC that has configuration: Core i5, RAM 4GB, HDD 500GB. WinCC connected to S7-1200. I built a runtime file, and set up Autostart in WinCC RT Start. At the beginning, it took about 1-2 minutes to open the runtime file, but now it takes me about 15 minutes to open it. In this project, I used VBscript to write data to database of Microsoft SQL 2008 in particular event. Can anyone give me some advise?

    I recently purchased a s7-1200 starter kit, a sm 1278 io-link modula and a io link linear sensor from turck. Un until now everything is installed and the sensor is cofigurated. Now the queastion is how do i get the value from the sensor into a tag in a datablock? As you can see in picture tia4 I started to fil in the device block but I could'nt figue everything out. (I am failry new to tia portal) With kind regards Dominique Hautekeete
  7. I am working on a system with a siemens plc and HMI using TIA Portal V13 and WinCC. I wanted to remove to buttons from the HMI so the operator no longer has access to them. I removed them in the project (saved them on a temporary screen). When I uploaded the changes to the HMI, the buttons still exist. I also tried the simulator and I had the same results. Do I need to manually un-register the buttons somewhere? Also, I made a new screen and changed one of the screen change buttons to direct toward it. When testing it, a blank screen showed up instead of the screen that I directed it to. I have done a lot of plc/hmi programming in the past, but I have never experienced symptoms as such.  I am new to the Siemens world.  I have traditionally used AB products.   Are there a lot of nuances with WinCC that I am unaware of?     Hi Guys, I'm still here asking your help because i need to reproduce a previous work that i did on omron series. Now i'm using a Siemens 1510SP-1PN CPU, with a DI 24VDC module assigned in the first slot. I would like to know how to call an interrupt task every time that a rising edge on E0.0 and E0.1 occurs. I  have configured the I/O settings of the module, to call the OB40 hardware interrupt block, but unfortunately i don't know how to assign the addresses to a specified OB, otherwise i noticed that if this option is enabled, instead of the default settings, the CPU can't see the input addresses rise up or turn on; If i configure back the default settings i can see again in a variable table the address E0.0 turn on, why this happens? Is this meaning that i can't use this address for other tasks or other functions? Can i call a hardware interrupt or something like that with an internal variable like a merker? What instructions i must use to enable and activate the OB40? Thank you! Best Regards.

In this FB I've declared an IEC Timer (TON) in the static section of the FB. When I go to upload to the PLC after TIA carries out the compilation I get error message 'Data type TON is not allowed here'. I've tried creating a new FB to test and had same issue for CTU,CTD,TOF.   See attached pics This is really strange as it has always functioned before! Has anyone seen or heard of this issue before? I'd appreciate any help, Cheers.

    Hi, I am new to the forum and relatively new to PLC's and I am working on a project that controls several pumps and I would like to install a off delay timer that can be adjusted on the HMI for individual pumps, is this possible ? I am using Siemens TIA Portal V13 and I have a KP1200 comfort panel along with a S7-1500 PLC Any help would be greatly appreciated
  21. Hello! I have a PLC S7-1200 (1212C DC/DC/DC) and a few question about programming S7-1200 in TIA Portal v13. 1. I want to make "upload station", because I am not surre whichone project is the last. But, when I start upload data, the error hapens, and the decription of error is: The name of the station "S7-1200 Station_1" is already in use in the project. How and where can I change it? 2. And the last question: I try to connect my S7-1200 and Weintek simualtion. There is all time :"PLC not connected". I have chceck everything: PLC is OK, communication PC-PLC ok (ping ok), windows firewall off, administrator rights ok, configuration made with manuals, (CPU - Siemens S7-1200, IP: 192.168.1.100, port 102, tags import - ok.) I have read the manual many times, and check settings - nothing change. Maybe have someone problems like this, and found a solution?   23. Micrologix 1500 PLC tripping /stopping periodically with red led indication . It is showing error 679H It is also showing error on Analog Output Card which is at slot 6 . After clearing error it starts and stops again after some time . Requested to suggest me any solutions for eliminating the problem

  25. Good day to all, Please i need your support. I am new to world of Plc. I just bought a micrologix 1500(1764-24BWA) Plc for my training program. I have a question with respect to the Input terminal 24V DC. I connected L1,L2 and the ground at the Output terminal to a 230VAC and power On the Equipment, everything was okay. My question is do I still need to connect the -DC and + DC at the Input terminal to a 24VDC external power supply to get the needed 24VDC for the Input terminal or the 24VDC comes from the internal voltage conversion of the PLC.
