  1. I have been working on a PLC project that requires sending ASCII commands/queries to an external pressure transducer using the Micro 850 PLC (2080-SERIALISOL module) via serial port communication (ASCII protocol) and in response the PLC would read pressure readings from the transducer. I was able to write a ladder logic program that reads ASCII code from the transducer and converts it into string and inversely converts string output from the computer to ASCII and sends it to the transducer. However, I am uncertain as to how I should send the command string from my computer so that the external transducer receives it, recognizes it after the <cr><lf> is encountered and sends a pressure reading. Any suggestions as to how I can type in commands from my computer and receive responses from the transducer?
  2. I have a function that reads ASCII code from a transducer, converts the code into characters and places the characters from the serial buffer into a string. Now, I am trying to convert the value in the string into a 64-bit float number. Any ideas on how to do that on the CCW?
  3. Hello all, I need to read device memory mostly I need to read R registers from PLC L26. I read device data, but inside of table, I can't find R or ZR registers. Can you help me?  What I did wrong?   BR KS
  4. Hello All,   Semi-noob here with Mitsubishi PLCs. I'm starting a project in which we are upgrading an existing A Series PLC with the Q.  Is there a datasheet somewhere that lists compatible software within Mitsubishi's lineup? I had no luck in searching their site.   Also, (in the same project) the existing network uses DeviceNet. I have the Q series compatible card for that - but within what software does one configure the network?   Thank you.
  5. Hi Everyone,   I have  NT31C-ST142-V2 and it has a prompt of "System Program not exist or incorrect." I am trying to transfer via NT Series System Installer but I am getting a time-out error. I have Xm2S-09 serial cable with ATEN serial-to-USB cable.I know it is not broken since I can still Upload/download on a CJ2 PLC. I just want to know what other things I can do upload a systemprogram. I have seen a comment on this site that he remove the battery then tried to upload again.   NT is almost 15 years old. I have a back-up program.   I can't seem to upload by this time for pictures of theH MI and the screenshots of software .

  8. The CC-Link system on a machine has been intermittently dropping out.  Normally the Link Scan Time runs at a solid 87ms.  When the system "drops out", the link scan time will increase.  Sometimes double, triple, or go up 10x. It happens when the machine is running or when it sits idle. There are 33 stations on the network.  The same stations do not always fault but sometimes all of the stations will fault at once (as seen in the attachment pictures.) We have changed the main QJ61BT11N, the processor, the Q62N power supply, the main backplane (base unit), all cards on the main backplane.  Is it possible for one station or one of the cables to create a network wide problem?  Any ideas thrown at us would be appreciated.
  9. Good day,   Does anybody know if one can connect multiple micro 800 PLC's to each other via GSM?
  10. Hello Sir/Ma'am, Hope you and your family are safe in this Covin-19 Pandemic.   One of my client have a machine in their ceramic industry which has Omron PLC System. Here I am describing the PLC Hardware Structure. (CP1H-X40-DT1-D-SC) + (CP1W-40EDT) + (CP1W-DA041) CP1H-X40-DT1-D-SC (Main CPU Unit) CP1W-40EDT (First Expansion Module, on right side of the CPU) CP1W-DA041 (Second Expansion Module on right side of the CP1W-40EDT)   Client shutdown the machine before a month due to Corona Pandemic, and today restarted the machine.   Now the problem at the restart of machine... Analog Output of 0-10V DC are not sourcing from the attached analog output module for any of channels. (Used to control speed of AC Drive) We have checked the program, and verify that the program is moving the value in analog output register address, but still no output signal at the module.(Checked Using Multimeter) We have same machine at another factory so we have tried to replace the all 2 expansion module and observed that the first Digital Module is Working properly but only last analog output module is getting problem again.   I don't know much about OMRON PLC Programming so seeking for the help regarding this.   OEM have moved the data in CIO 106 for generating analog output, as well OEM has move #8099 in CIO 104 and CIO 105 at the first scan of program. I don't know very much about this programming, that's why i refer some manuals but didn't succeed yet.   Kindly help me out if possible... I have attached backup of program as well for reference...   Thanks...   Bobin Feeder.cxp
  11. Data Log using CCW

Hi all, I am new to the forum as well as being new to programming PLC's.  I am trying to set up a simple data logging program using a Micro830, taking pulse readings from an energy meter. I have completed the program using tutorials, but i am struggling to set up the data log. The DLG function shows error 8 (real time clock is invalid) so i have tried to set up a real time clock but there are very little tutorials on how to do it. The RTC currently shows status 2 (RTC set operation failed). Please could someone please help me out so my boss doesn't disown me :(  Thanks so much in advance! Andy
  12. Conversion from A to Q

Good Evening everyone, I do realise that this has possibly been done before but quite a few years ago and the links no longer seem to work or links to Mitsi pages that are in Japanese, so please excuse me. I have soem A series PLC kit that needs replacing and I have bought all new Q series stuff to replace(where possible). I have been languishing a little on this project now for a few months but need to get moving. I purchased a GOT HMI and got a good deal on the HMI and the complete Mitsubishi Software Suite the local Mitsi guru said that was all I needed to get the job done. But afetr delving into what came inthe box it seems I need a A - Q Conversion Support Tool https://www.mitsubishielectric.com/fa/products/cnt/plca/pmerit/renewal/case/support_tool.html However I cannot find the software on any of the DVD's that I have and I cannot seem to find a download. So I am stuck now. Can anyone help point me in the right directon? Any Help greatly appreceiated. Thanks in advance.
  13. stf and stop on at same time

i have a 800 series vfd drive that when trying to start has the STF function and stop on at the same time, does this sound like a plc issue or a wiring issue?
  14. Hi all I have a project where i am building a bread softness tester.  To do this i am using a smc electric actuator and an A&D scale. The electric actuator will push down on a slice onto an A&D scale.  A micro830 plc is then reading the data from the scale and storing the real variable in an array 80values long.  I would like to display on the hmi (panelview800) the peak/maximum value in the array. I am struggling on how to do this though and have not found much information online. any help would be much appreciated Thanks in advance Trevor
  15. CCW/Micro800 series

Hello all! I have a two part question - both revolve around using Rockwell's CCW software. 1) in rs500 you can mov a value into the an int memory slot and call that int up later on for comp. instructions to see where you're at. Example, if x switch is active, mov value 0 into N7/0. If y switch is active, move value 1 into N7/0. If both x & y are active, move a value of 2 into N7/0. How is this done in CCW??? I've found the mov command but not sure where/how to store this value. 2) How do does one shot [ONS] work in CCW?!? From what I've gathered the r_trig and f_trig is its replacement, and thought it made plenty of sense. But no matter what I do the triggers never work out correctly. Thanks, -g
  16. A1S68DAV parameter

please can anyone tell me how to set A1S68DAV analog output module parameters , such as voltage output and resolution? or is the parameter can't be set at aLL (ie, fixed at -10V to 10V)?
  17. Hi everyone; I want to communication Omron NB series HMI with Allen Bradley Micro 830 PLC. I don't know is it possible. İf its that possible, help me please..
  18. Device point error between Parameter and PLC

Hello all, I am a beginner with PLCs programming. I have an issue on GX Developer programming software from Melsoft trying to program my Mitsubishi Q-series PLC. CPU is Q03UDCPU. When the program is written and I try to upload it to the PLC, with the write to PLC window, I check -Program -- MAIN and -Prameter -- PLC/Network/Remote, click EXECUTE and a message appears : "Device point that is set in parameter is not match the device point in PLC". I can't fix it. In Parameter - PLC Parameter - Q parameter setting (window) - I/O assignment tab : I have (see image). Whe I use CHECK button it says there is no error. The X41 input device is plugged on slot 1/00. I am making this folowing the instructions a PDF I found on the Mitsubishi electric's wesite : Q-series basic course (for GX Developer). Thanks for the help, A. S.
  19. Hey everyone! New member here, and this site has always been a big help!  I try to help other folks too, but a lot of guys are super quick on here.   I've got a problem using some obscure components. I inherited a sensor network at work that uses Panasonic S-Link and I need to read them from a Q-Series. Panasonic makes a module that slots into the Q Series called an SL-VMEL-Q that I have.   My question is:  Did I do everything correctly on my Mitsubishi side? I put it into the parameters as an intelligent module with 64 points and I put the correct address in for the start I/O. Is that all I have to do?  This is the first time I used a module that wasn't on the drop down list when you add one in GX Works 2.   I can read and write to the buffer memory, but I can't get the unit to send to or receive from the sensors. I think the problem is that there is no end unit on the S-Link line (I don't know if it's just a terminating resistor or what), but it previously worked without one, so I can't be certain.
  20. Dear sir, i want sample program for modbus tcp for q series plc
  21. Hi everyone,  I am trying to use Kepware to communicate with my PLC setup which is the iQ-R Series R08PCPU.  I read the documentation which is available at https://www.kepware.com/getattachment/3daf1ac3-5c76-49ce-bbfe-f0fb1015f6cc/mitsubishi-ethernet-manual.pdf I read through the setup for Kepware and the setup procedure for iQ-R series but it still didn't work.  From the documentation, it said something about "using special ladder logic to enable ethernet communications is required.", I couldn't find anything about this online.  Here what I did in addition to the documentation: - Enabled IP Packet Transfer - Ping the PLC's IP Address which was successful Does anyone have any idea what I didn't do to establish that communication between Kepware and R08PCPU?  Thank you in advance.
  22. Please assist me with the following; regarding the ME96SSHA-MB Power meter data transition with Melsec-Q series PLC; We acquire to read various values on dedicated Modbus storage address registers at the simultaneous into a Melsec-Q series PLC via Modbus (TCP or RTU)  for calculation purposes. Naturally, since the reading of these variables are to provide accurate instantaneous results, it is a requirement that these values are to be read at one scan.   However, as can be seen below, there is a gap in address register range – of which, if all of these are scanned simultaneously, yields an exception error when read. This error is only avoided by scanning these data sets separately – which is not ideal for our application – since accuracy in calculations is imperative.
