  1. Hello Everyone, Thanks for welcoming me to this forum, I am glad to be a part of the Mr. PLC community, finally. I have an issue with transferring licenses from the XTEL "Disquette de Autorizacion" to the XTEL software. The whole system from OS/2 to Telemecanique XTEL v6.1 seems to have installed successfully, all on a legacy system boasting a massive 500MHz Intel processor and 256 megabytes of RAM. I can create a project and follow the process all the way through to the final stage before connecting with the PLC. At this point it doesn't seem to matter what option I choose to try and connect with the PLC, all end with "NO SOFTWARE ACCESS RIGHTS" "PROGRAM COMPLETE". Having read an incredible amount of related posts across many forums; this forum offering the best solutions; I now humbly seek help from the good people of this wonderful PLC community. There are certain people on this forum with a tremendous knowledge of OS/2 and XTEL installations, and I hope to attract the attention of these fellow engineers. I already have a lot of respect for those who post here as you choose to give your time to help the wider community of engineers, fitters and programmers alike, saving the day in most cases, so thank you all in advance of your continued help and support. PS. I'm ready the manual "cover-to-cover" this evening.

My Hard Disc was crashed.  after I re installed RS logix 5000 V15 Software and re hosted & activated license and I restored the program backup. i have taken controller online and it is ok , but analog scaling blocks which are in FBD  were not enabled. I have only one license (i.e RS LOGIX 5000 Standard ) my query is, is there any separate  FBD license  to be activate  to enable this scaling blocks or not?. please help me to resolve this issue.

  4. Hello everyone, I have this message when I trying to open my project which I did.  "The project includes a model that cannot be used with the current license. The project is closed." I recently reinstalled windows, but version of Sysmac Studio is same, License is same, but now I not be able to open my project. I just tried to install last version of Sysmac Studio 1.25, and of course nothing changed, looks like issue with license. But again, license is same.
  5. Hi, I have a task whereby I have to hook a WonderWare InTouch (2017) HMI, on Windows 10 through to two Allen Bradley PLCs both programmed via RS-Logix 5000. OPC comms between the HMI PC and the PLCs have to go through RSLinx Classic. The RSLinx Classic install has a paid-for OEM license. InTouch to RSLinx has to be through Wonderware OI-Gateway using Suitelink protocol. I can see and interact with PLC-generated data items at the output side of RSLinx using Matrikon OPC Explorer.  I can also see OPC data generated by Matrikon OPC Server for Simulation from within InTouch with comms to the Matrikon OPC server going through OI-Gateway / Suitelink. However, I cannot get OI-Gateway to talk to RSLinx, and so can't connect InTouch to it.  I have now found that this RSLinx Classic OEM license might not support interaction with Wonderware OI-Gateway. However, fruitless searching means I don't know if this is the case, but I still need to find out and be certain of  the facts before broaching the whole "we actually need to buy another RSLinx license" thing with the Powers That Be. There seems to be content on the Rockwell / Allen Bradley / RSLinx website which deals with it but (frustratingly) it declined to show me that content, appearing to suggest that I needed to pay for a Rockwell support contract before I could get access. I'll not get (too far) into the debate about coolness of this - or otherwise - when we've already paid for this RSLinx Classic OEM license and just want to find out if it will actually do what's required... Cuitting to the chase, could anyone tell me please which RSLinx Classic license I need to have in the setup above in order to be able to speak to RSLinx Classic from Wonderware OI-Gateway? There are 2 PLCs which RSLinx communicates with, but the two of them comprise two 'halfs' of the same overall system. I suspect the OEM license might have to be upgraded to a Gateway license, but I just don't know. Input much appreciated please! Incidentally, the OPC server has to be RSLinx - I'm not allowed to swap it out for Wonderware OI-ABCIP or Topserver etc Thanks
  6. GE IFIX Server Client connectiom

I want to make a setup of one Ifix 5.5 server and  one Ifix  5.5 client for testing purpose.  This is for doing some alarms and events testing at the client( Operator Workstation) end. My question is that is it possible to do this setup without a valid license. Is it possible to establish the connection between server and client without license..? Regards Eby
