  1. Hi I have encountered a problem with CX-integrator. I'm not able to open the program. The following message appears:  System error. Save the date and close the application.  (Error code 0035) I have tried to reinstall the entire CX-one packet.  Any ideas?  Regards MBD
  2. CP1L PLC network communication error

Hello all,   I have a master PLC(CJ2M) which is communicating with slave 4 slave PLCs(CP1L). one of the PLC have communication error, upon checking in cx-intergrator it shows that all the other slave PLCs and other components are connected to network-1 and faulty PLC is connected to network-0. Unfortunately, I couldn't change it as cx-intergrator doesn't allow me to change download the changes. So anyone can please help me with this issue. If you know the troubleshooting way then please reply.    Thanks in advance.    -Yash
  3. I'm an automation tech in a tool and manufacturing facility.  Lately, we've quoted a few projects for customers that include tooling (stamping dies usually) as well as some partial automation.  The automation is fairly simple usually...motor, drive, actuator to transfer material in 2 axes, e.g.  The company president and quoting engineers don't think it's a big deal for us to do this, but I'm a little wary to agree to these projects.  I have 2 years experience doing all sorts of small programming tasks, wiring, control panel design and build, troubleshoot, etc. However, I also know that there are a lot of industry and safety standards to follow when you start machine building/integrating for customers.  The tooling build is straightforward and is our forte.  But we have no electrical/controls engineers, and we have no standards really for automation "builds".  I've done smaller projects for us and I'm trying to develop some sort of standards, but there was nothing like that when I came into this position.   Anyway, should I undertake these sorts of projects in your opinion or not? And if I would, what sort of knowledge/standards should I master in terms of liability and safety, and where would be a good place to start in developing a wiring/electrical schematic standard? Thanks for your assistance. Andrew
  4. Hi, I would like to connect a  Ramsey Micro-Tech 9101 integrator via Ethernet/IP to a Controllogix. I have read the manual from Ramsey and they show that I should add a Generic Ethernet Module in RSLogix and enter the Input Assembly instance and Output Assembly parameters to get it working. I have tried the settings in the manual but it tells me that the Input Size is not correct, tried different values and couldn't find any that work. Could somebody please assist me? I have emailed Ramsey but have not gotten a reply yet and I also contacted their local office here in South Africa but they could not help me.

  6. .cin file question.

I'm fairly new to the world of automation so please excuse me if get my terms mixed up. I think I know the answer to this but its not quite clear in the manuals. I'm on a project that has about 9 CJ2H PLCs that we are doing a re-commisioning job. In each of the PLC files we have backup files and the program files. Some of the PLCs have .cin files for CX Integrator and some don't. Some of the files have routing tables as well. We are wondering if we are supposed to have a .cin file for each PLC and that this a must have file in order for the PLC to comunicate with other devices in the network? If each network is supposed to have one this means that we were not given those files from the original owners and then we need to create new ones. I'm thinking that its not a big deal and pretty easy to setup the network configuration. Anyone out there have any experience? Thanks
  7. LM 90 70 Fuction Block For Integrator

Hi ALL, Am trying to write a PLC code that will register accumulate tonnes from a conveyor weightometer What function blocks inside LM 90 70 can I use to develop this? Need assistance Thanks Chris
  8. I'm new to Omron, and after several days of diving into manuals trying to figure this out on my own and giving myself a headache I've come to accept that i need help. my task is the following: Control of the discrete and analog inputs/outputs in a DeviceNet system using an Omron CJ1M PLC’s and PT’s. Use at least one thermocouple, one analog input, and one analog output for the DeviceNet network. Use a pushbutton and a light for the start of the process and an indicator for the started process. I have a Drt1-Ad04 input, a Drt1-ad02 output, and a Drt1-ts04t temperature control. My devicenet is Cj1w-drm21, The Omron system itself is a cj1m-cpu13 etn21. I have node addresses for my input, outputs and temperature control, those being 35 for input, 25 or 30 for output and for temperature control 5, 15, or 20. The ip address im using for this project is 142.214.143.9I'm using Cx programmer, Designer and Integrator. On Cx programmer I've managed to create an IO table but i have no idea on how to begin the program or even get a current reading from my generator. On Designer I've made what i believe to be the layout of the pushbuttons, I just have no idea of what addresses to enter. And on integrator i'm having troubles on figuring out how to make a routing table. I've went through many manuals and either i'm missing something really basic here or I just have no idea on what I'm doing. The only advice I was given was to dive into more manuals and find my addresses for my inputs, outputs, and temperature or to find the information from an outside source be that a forum or customer service. I am able to provide more information, and screenshots of what I have done if needed. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated!
