    Hi, I'm using FWRIT to log data and want to know if it's possible to detect power failure to not write to the CF memcard? You can extend the power OFF up to 10ms or use the power off interrupt. Does anyone make experience with that?

    I have restored a crashed IFIX to a new PC. The restore is ok and installed GE9 driver. With the GE9 power tools, we can observed that data transmits and recieve. The problem is that the screen scada is not updating i.e. no status/feedback, anything is happening. The LAN network TCP/IP was configured i.e. IP, subnet and gateway. Any remedies/advice is most welcome. Please provide a guide on the communication/configuration setup. Thanks

Product:             STEP7 Professional V13 Reference:           FB Declaration Static: Data type TON is not allowed here Description: ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Hi, I'm using Step7 Prof V13 SP1 upd7 & WinCC Adv V13 SP1 upd7.    In my project I'm using a 312CPU, Article No.: 6ES7 312-1AE14-0AB0, Version: V3.3 & TP1500 Comfort, Article No.:6AV2 124-0QC02-0AX0, Version:13.0.1.0   My Issue: I've taken previously used FB from my Global library and inserted it into my new Project. In this FB I've declared an IEC Timer (TON) in the static section of the FB. When I go to upload to the PLC after TIA carries out the compilation I get error message 'Data type TON is not allowed here'. I've tried creating a new FB to test and had same issue for CTU,CTD,TOF.   See attached pics This is really strange as it has always functioned before! Has anyone seen or heard of this issue before? I'd appreciate any help, Cheers.

    Hi, I am new to the forum and relatively new to PLC's and I am working on a project that controls several pumps and I would like to install a off delay timer that can be adjusted on the HMI for individual pumps, is this possible ? I am using Siemens TIA Portal V13 and I have a KP1200 comfort panel along with a S7-1500 PLC Any help would be greatly appreciated
  13. Hello! I have a PLC S7-1200 (1212C DC/DC/DC) and a few question about programming S7-1200 in TIA Portal v13. 1. I want to make "upload station", because I am not surre whichone project is the last. But, when I start upload data, the error hapens, and the decription of error is: The name of the station "S7-1200 Station_1" is already in use in the project. How and where can I change it? 2. And the last question: I try to connect my S7-1200 and Weintek simualtion. There is all time :"PLC not connected". I have chceck everything: PLC is OK, communication PC-PLC ok (ping ok), windows firewall off, administrator rights ok, configuration made with manuals, (CPU - Siemens S7-1200, IP: 192.168.1.100, port 102, tags import - ok.) I have read the manual many times, and check settings - nothing change. Maybe have someone problems like this, and found a solution?   16. During run time on my KTP700 BASIC HMI panel, there is a keyboard pop-up screen that appears, when I press on an input field (for example, like the one in the inbuilt Logon pop-up screen). Is it possible to change the font size, and/or the size of the keys on this keyboard? How so? Thanks in advance.
  17. I am using a KTP700 BASIC HMI panel. I have two languages in the HMI program. On the inbuilt Logon screen, I want to show English text in size 21, French text in size 15. In Runtime settings > Languages and Fonts, I give each language different font sizes, but when I run the program on the HMI panel, they both show up the same size. (For example, I set English to font size 21, and French to font size 15. However, if I access the password screen in English, then later in French, the text is shown in font size 21 in both occasions). This is a problem because the French words are longer, and hence some letters get cut off. Any ideas about how to get around this? (besides just using font size 15 for both?)
  18. I am using TIA portal to make HMI screens for a KTP700 BASIC HMI panel. I am using the built-in password protection pop-up screen. Is it possible to change the font size of text items on the password protection screen? The text, and the user and password fields are a bit small. I would like to make them bigger.   19. At work we have been having a slightly increasing number of instances where the Micrologix 1400 that is paired with a Panelview C400 resets values when we cycle the power. Originally we thought the solution was a bad battery in the ML1400. This was the case the first few times that it happened. However, we recently had one doing the same thing and when the program was loaded onto another PLC and HMI combo it had the same issue. So either the battery for both just happen to be bad, or there is something in the program that is forcing the values to automatically reset when the power is cycled. I cannot post the program on here but I can tell you that the tags that are being reset are only used in the PLC program once. There are six total that are being reset and they are the high and low range in an SCP function that is used to scale inputs. I will be testing the program myself in house on a bench setup, but I wanted to get this question out there as soon as possible in case it is not an obvious problem. Has anyone seen this before? Any suggestions? If I come up with an answer I will post it. Thanks.

    Hi there I have an enquiry. We are looking to expand an exisitng Utility system that uses S7 400s and WinCC flexible on MP277. We were going to put in MP277s and S7400s on the expansion until the Declaration of maturity was issued. Now I am a bit confused of my options.....if i have to use TIA portal (instead of flexible) on the expansion spur with my new comfort panel do i have to purchase the new S71200 or S7 1500 PLC or can i use a S7400 ? If i can use an S7 400 with the TIA comfort software then what do i program the s7400 in? thanks

  25. I wonder if there is version of Ethernet Remote IO that can be used with 115VAC supply rather then 24VDC? This would save me a power supply which is really needed for this module only.
