  1. QD75M4 AND MR-J2S-40B

Hello i have problem about connection between QD75M4 AND MR-J2S-40B  now MR-j2S is display "Ab" every time i can't solve this problem
  2. I need a Red Lion HMI to communicate with an IO module (8) IO's ... I don't really need a PLC.  Because the control of a certain LinMot drive for a linear motor can be activated by IO's.  This LinMot drive can store up to 100 curves... which can simply be called into operation by a single binary number between 0 & 255,  defined by eight IO's ..  you input the number on the HMI, the HMI converts to binary and set the (8) IO's in the module which sends the binary number to the LinMot drive..   Yes, there are some other IO's for starting and stopping ... and it may be unrealistic for me to not use a PLC.   I'm trying to get the cost way down...    If a "stand-alone" IO module does not exist... then is there a simple, low budget PLC out there, with 8 or 16 IO's available..?    Thanks much, Michael
  3. IC200ALG264 Analog Input module

Hello all, Thanks for the forum which has provided me with a lot of help overtime. I'm posting my first thread since I can't seem to find an answer to my issue. I'll quickly explain the situation: I'll be installing a RTD sensor to a GE Fanuc IC200ALG264 analog input module using a 4-20mA converter. Everything is fine except I can't seem to understand the polarities of the Fanuc inputs. I'll explain better: the module has an IC200CHS022 for the terminals, 15 terminals total, and the manual is reporting a "number" and a "connection" for each terminal. Now, the "number" seems to correspond to the visible pin of the terminal. But the positive and negative symbols are represented on the "connection", which I can't seem to wrap my head around what it means. Attached are abstracts from the manual and a photo of the terminals. Please tell me where to connect positive and negative outputs of the 4-20mA converter. Thank you. 4. Hi! I would like to ask how could I send data from PC to CJ1M PLC, by SCU-41 module and RS232 cable, in order to activate an actuator (LED)? In my environment, I have a sensor that sends data from PLC to PC (I'm checking data, "HelloWrld" with Putty), with this configuration: And I have another section where I want to read the data from the PC in ordr to activate a LED I would like when I send for example a letter 'a' trough Putty, the LED activates. How could I do that? Thank you very much!
  5. Hi All need to convert a Decimal Value into Ascii code to send out on serial 485. eg. Weight comes in as Int 12345 i need to send it out in Ascii as 23 32 20 31 32 33 34 35. I have created an array 0 of 8 (Word) DB. Is there an easy way split the int into Digits convet in into HEX and slot the value into the various array positions? Array 0 of 8 = 23 means # Array 1 of 8 = 32 means 2 (Station ID) Array 2 of 8 = 20 means Space Array 3 of 8 = 31 means 1 Array 4 of 8  = 32 means 2 Array 5 of 8 = 33 means 3 Array 6 of 8 = 34 means 4 Array 7 of 8 = 35 means 5 Array 8 of 8 = D means CR    this sends the value of 12345 to Display ID 2 . need help to convert the decimal number in ascii. the decimal number will be max of 5 digits and less than 32000   any help will be greatly appreciated.
  6. friends, forgive me for my english.  I have a problem.  omron nt620c panel cannot access the system menu.  I reinstalled the system program through NT-SYSTEM INSTALLER.  after which I get the message: no direct information is set !!!  please use the support tool to set the pt control area and the pt notify area.  go to the system menu does not work.  I swing the corners of the screen as described in the manual.  from a video from YouTube I realized that there should be a message connecting to host
  7. Hey everyone, I have a CJ1M PLC with a CJ1W-SCU21-V1 serial card. It is unit 6 and I am using port 1. I have bit 1659.06 ((1500 + 25 * Unit #) +9, bit 6) as "characters in buffer" but it never comes on (data is being received through the port successfully). It is on No-Protocol mode. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can detect data in the buffer?
  8. Serial comm with FX1N PLC

I need to communicate with a Mitsubishi PLC using Matlab. To do that, I open a serial communication with the appropiate parameters (7,e,1,9600), and write an ASCII message based on the manual I have (attached). I have tried examples as the one in the attached image. The response starts with a 6, that is, the ASCII number for ACK, so something must be working. But the rest of the response is junk (149, 149, 149...), although its length depends on the input length (if I add terminator, the response is longer, and so on). I am completely stuck. Some information that might be helpful: I am using a Serial to USB converter that I have used successfully with other PLC (which used Modbus, so everything was easier) There's a VB application (of which I don't have the code) that is able to connect to the PLC (I need to connect directly without using this intermediate app). I have decompiled it trying to get some info, but was just able to confirm the 7,e,1,9600 parameters, since the rest of the code is too mangled to analyze The attached manual was sent to me by the guy who designed the PLC and its ladder code, so I guess it is the correct one I have tried the echo mode (TT) to no avail, response is always the same I have some doubts regarding the reading of a value (see attached image). Why is there a second message from the PC? Shouldn't I just need to read the response? GX Developer tells me that the address D8120 (which is supposed to define the comm format and protocol) contains a 0, which seems weird. Any help or hint would be greatly appreciated. 9. Hi all! We have a problem with a Mitsubishi system. After switch off the machine in home position and back on, it resets the servo encoder value to 0.  I checked the servo parameters, and the Absolute encoder is enabled, the ext. battery is ok and no zero reseting in the program ( I think...). Is there a parameter I should check or some setting in the intelligent module? The system consists Q01CPU, QD77MS2 im., J4 200B amp with 6v battery, and HG-SR152 motor.
  10. PID Loop Review

Hi all, I am trying to set up a PID loop for a project I'm working on, and I was hoping someone could take a look at it for me. Most of what is written comes from the Q, L programming manual, but I've changed a few things so that the program can write changes to the SV as needed. The processor is a Q03UDE and the Analog Module is a Q64AD2DA, using only channels 1 and 5. Thanks for looking! PID Project.gxw

  16. Hello guys, I am very new at this. I am trying to make a Schneider PLC (TM251MESE) to send some serial commands (485)  to a integrated stepper motor from Automation Direct (STR-MTRD-17030RE, but I am lost. The driver has been program to receive the SCL commands. But not quite sure how to send those from the plc. Im using SoMachine V 4.2 Have any of you done anything similar? Any example will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks
  17. I have been able to Jog the opposite direction from a Hardware OT with my 1S servos (using Sysmac Studio).  I reset the OT Fault and Job the opposite direction. What I am having trouble with now is, I have set Software Limits and I cannot Jog off like I can with the Hardware OT.  I have been told I should be able to do that, but it still does not work.  The fault returns immediately when I press the appropriate HMI Job button....which is the same HMI buttons and Logic used when I have the Hardware OT. Has anyone ran into this before?  It may be a setting I have not done right maybe?? Thanks,
  18. Still learning Sysmac Studio......how do I gain access to System Variables like 'PageIndex" so my PLC can be notified what Page the HMI is on?  Also, how can I execute an 'Acknowledge All' from the PLC so I can reset the 'Alarm Viewer Popup' from my PLC? Thanks,

  21. Hello. I am trying to make a serial RS 232C connection between Schneider Magelis HMIGXU3512 and Omron PLC CP1E. However, there seems to be a communication problems between both of the equipment. I am using cable XBT Z9740 for the serial communication cable. The format used is 8.2.N for both equipment. The baud rate is 115200. No Flow Rate is choose. Anyone can help with this kind of problems?
  22. Connect PLC to Kepserver

I have Delta 12SA2 PLC it has RS232 port and I have connected it to kepserver (by Modbus serial) and then factory IO Now my problem is that when I connect my PLC to kepserver the RS232 port becomes busy with the kepserver and not available in the ISPSoft and therefore I could not demonstrate factory io and my logic in run mode in the isp soft together like you do in your videos. My PLC don't have ethernet port but is there an option in kepserver or any way by which i can use the same serial port of the PLC in isp soft run mode and kepserver+factory io together so that I can simultaneously show the logic running in isp soft and application working in factory io to my students. I googled a lot and found some softwares which make virtual serial ports for a given serial port but they don't work and soon hang Please help me I am in a great need of it. Thanks in advance.
  23. Hello, I have been so many days trying to comunicate the multiway software trought a serial usb converter with the SCU31 device, using a omron function block to read a holding register, but I can't achieved it. Now Im receiving some frames on multiway, but there is always some errors. I was wondering if somebody in here that have worked previously with modbus and omron can be able to help me in how to configure everything corectly to be able to read the value from multiway, on the plc, and where is this value saved.  I'll upload some captures to show what I have done till now.
  24. Hi all,  I am trying to update the firmware of a NS12-TS01B-V2. I have downloaded the RecoverUpdate_8_95.exe (and someothers) from the myomron website. I have followed the instrucctions PDF, but when I switch on the HMI with the Compact Flash inserted, nothing happens: the screen is dark and the led is lit orange (not blinking).  The compact flash is 1GB (not omron) and formated using a CJ2. I have been using this card in OMRON PLCs and HMIs for years without problems.  I read in other topic than I guy had similar problems and he solved it using other computer and other unzipper program. I have tried it, but it did not work.  After that, I tried to update it using the DIP switches, but I got more problems, because I got a Warning first, and later an Error, because I forced the installation of the Firmware of the NS8 (BANK1) instead of the NS12. However, the other BANK folder contains the FW for the NS5... Anyway, I could fix this error because previously I did a backup of the already installed system (V7.0). I would like to ask you to send me a BackUp of another NS12, using the "Manual Transfer", that should works. I need the 8.20 version or higher.  Thanks a lot.  My email is hector.moreno.lax@gmail.com
