  1. Hey was just curious if anyone has come across the error message for Sysmac Studio posted. I have uploaded an image. Essentially what happened was I was using sysmac studio, went for lunch and it wouldn't open when I got back. I uninstalled v1.23, ran the remover (1901) and reinstalled it. Still could not open without the error. I uninstalled and tried installing V1.13 (oldest one I have) and again am getting the error. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, DJ
  2. Hello everybody, I am facing an issue with my GOT HMIs Performance at the Moment. I hope somebody can assist me troubleshooting these performance issues. I am using GOT2310 and GT2107 simple. The performance issues are in different projects. When I am talking about performance issues I am specifically talking about a laggy behavior during operation of the GOT. I am looking for a way how to actually debug and troubleshoot the performance issue. How to figure out what is causing the laggy behavior? The 2310 HMI is actually quite busy I am doing quite some different things: DDTs are active Different loggings are active (one logging is logging every 100ms) Multiple layers Different scripts, some of the scripts are executed ordinary The screens are using multiple layers Access data directly not via a DDT I have a communication error, this error seems to be relatively unique and I will open a different topic for this. There is communication in both directions but I do get a system alarm “communication error” What is the good practice to start debugging / troubleshooting?   Best regards

  4. Connecting PLC to ethernet

Hello, Just recently bought a used CJ2M-CPU33 Omron PLC and I am trying to hook it up via ethernet. I keep getting an error F3. I figured it was because I didnt populate my I/O table so I did that and still no change. I have tried to connect to it via USB (which works fine) and then upload it a new IP address but no luck. Communication problems are my enemy and any help would be appriciated. Its a CJ2M CPU33 with a PA202 power supply. Analog in and out, digitial in and out cards. Thanks
  5. I'm looking for some general information about different types of vibration/temperature sensors. What type, brand, model number, etc. will best fit my application.  Scenario: I want to monitor the vibration and temperature of multiple motors and gearboxes for a large overhead conveyor system. If an oil leak occurs and temperature increases, I want to see a temp. alert via a HMI. If a something mechanical fails, I want to see a vibration alert via a HMI.  I've looked into sensors that stick to the outside housing of the motors or gearboxes via a magnet. My concern is justifying the temperature readings. How accurate would a sensor that reads an "ambient" temperature be (compared to a thermocouple on the motor coil itself or some sort of probe)? Also, would the location of the magnet  on the motor or gearbox drastically affect the temp. or vib. readings? Has anyone had success with a similar setup? If so, what devices did you utilize? Are these systems truly beneficial?  I'm currently considering Banner's wireless products...
  6. [Hello, this is my first post - hope I posted in the right place.] We have multiple Logix5000 PLCs and are using Wonderware 9.x HMI. There are 4 SCADA PCs running Wonderware. Each is set up with DAServer and they pull the tags directly from the PLCs. On one SCADA PC, DAServer is continuously throwing the following error when attempting to read tags from a specific PLC: "Encountered following errors while establishing connection for New_PORT_CIP_000.HSPS.Backplane... ExtSTS=011A: Target Application cannot support any more connections". The tags from that PLC don't get updated on this particular SCADA PC. The "HSPS" PLC reports 7 active connections, with 64 available. CPU utilization is ~30%. The other PCs are not reporting this error and are working fine. I would be very grateful for any suggestions to track down this error. Thanks!
