Hello everyone. I am looking for a link to download Microwin 4.0 sp7 or higher and not the update. Kindly advise me. Thank you.
  2. Hello, Do you know what is the difference between the PID controllers PIDFF, PID1 and PIDP1 in a Schneider PLC? I have to modify a PLC program with a new standard of coding. The new standard use a PIDFF function bloc. If I change a PID1 bloc for a PIDFF bloc, can I use the same parameters Kp, Ti, Td? If I change a PIDP1 for a PIDFF bloc, can I use the parameters Ki and Kd to calculating Ti (ti=1/Ki) and, Td (Td = Kd)? Thanks you for your help.
  3. Yaskawa U84S CPU in Stop Mode

Dear All, Yaskawa Memocon-SC U84S CPU is installed but it is in Stop mode,as its RUN indication is OFF and PLC is not generating any output. can anyone tell me how to shift it to RUN mode as P190 is also not attached with this system. Thanks
  4. Has anyone had experience with EtherCAT Communications using Sysmac, NJ5 PLC & Yaskawa SI-ES3 EtherCAT Comms board for A1000 VFD?  I have looked at the manual, but as I am still green on Sysmac & Omron programming in general.....not sure I understand what to do to simple Drive Status monitoring, Execute RUN/STOP & Speed Select... Thanks in advance :)
  5. Hello. I am trying to make a serial RS 232C connection between Schneider Magelis HMIGXU3512 and Omron PLC CP1E. However, there seems to be a communication problems between both of the equipment. I am using cable XBT Z9740 for the serial communication cable. The format used is 8.2.N for both equipment. The baud rate is 115200. No Flow Rate is choose. Anyone can help with this kind of problems?
  6. Hi, I've been having a problem with my Schneider setup, and I can't seem to figure out the problem. I'm using Machine Expert Logic Builder and Vijeo 6.2, and I can't seem to download to my PLC. I can download to my HMI just fine, but my HMI comes back with the message as mentioned in the title. Also when I perform a full download, machine expert comes up with the message "Could not connect to the device for item "xx", selected target system "PLC name" is different from the connected device "HMI name". The weirdest thing is that machine expert shows my PLC just fine, but doesn't show my HMI. I have no idea what to do, as I feel like I've tried everything. The IP range is fine, subnet is fine. The driver in IO manager in Vijeo has the PLC nodename in it, so that shouldn't be the problem either. Does anyone know what to do in a situation like this? Thank you in advance!
  7. i am trying to connect a gf+ flow sensor  through the signet 8550 meter loop for 4-20mA - i am unable to get  a reading from the sensor as i am connecting to tm3Ai8 input analog module.   please let me know how i can do this need for and urgency at a site.
  8. 50+ Thermistors on PLC

I am trying to build something (not for discussion) which involves using 50+ NTC resistors using a PLC to measure and do some other stuff. My question is, does anybody have an idea of how to deal with the high amount of individual NTC resistors? Of course, they need to be amplified and measured by the PLC directly or a device in between which converts it to digital. I have absolutely no idea in what way to connect the resistors to the PLC, does anybody have ideas? Let me know!
  9. SECS (SEMI Equipment Communications Standard)/GEM (Generic Equipment Model) are communication interface protocols for communication between semiconductor equipment and a fab host. Fab host is a software application that is controlling and monitoring equipment processing using SECS/GEM protocol.
  10. Hello everyone, we have a problem with a connection of a Schneider HMI and a Schmersal Security PLC, do anyone have some experience in that? it's about addressing, it's unable to map address from Schmersal PLC to Schneider HIM the address of the I/O channels in the network ? What should I do?
  11. hello I have been forced to replace a TWDLMDA20DRT with a Schneider TM221ME16R. the plc is a slave but I am having trouble getting the Modbus data exchange to work like it did with the old plc. I have setup the serial port to use Modbus etc etc and I played about with the read_var FB but this wasn't required in the old plc so im confused as to why I would need to use it on the replacement. I have come across another FB send receive message but again i'm not too sure if this is required.  the master plc uses the msg2 and exch2 command. I believe I am just missing something very simple here.   Lighting Panel - Old_PLC.twd Lighting Panel1 - Master -.twd Lighting Panel - Pillar5 -.smbp
  12. Hello everybody,   First, I used the BMX NOR 0200H module associated with a GSM modem, for the time stamp and the problem is at the level of data recovery (slave PLC), I received the value of the variable (it's OK), but instead of the modification date of the variable, I received the send date (from the master PLC to the slave PLC).   After this application, I tried to use Web Desinger to do the timestamp by recovering a .csv extension file, but the file does not generate in the memory card (I accessed the module's memory card by an FTP client).   At this stage, the BMX NOR 0200H module, does not respond to a new configuration or a modification (either by Web Designer software or by Web Server, even these last two confirms me by a dialog box that the module has accepted the change).     Thank you all for your attention.

  15. Hello, Currently, I have Schneider PLC- LMC058 - LMC058LF42 which support Ethernet communication. I want to collect data from this PLC to Database "MySQL". In order to do this I have below options: ** I can use Kepware OPC to gather data, However, there are 2 issues am facing. ________[*] this PLC appears to be Telemecanique PLC instead of Schneider .. which is what I don't understand. ________[**] Kepware OPC doesn't support Schneider nor Telemecanique PLC ... that's what I found but not sure of it. ** I found Somachine SQL gateway which dumbs data to MySQL, however: ________[*] I can't find enough resources on how to use it. ________[**] It's asking for License, Is there a way to crack or bypass it? ________[***] Has anyone used Somachine SQL gateway to directly connect Schneider PLC to MySQL database. My preference is using OPC server as it's the easier way, Hope I can find support on any of these 2 directions! Thanks. AK
  16. Hello everyone,   I need to communicate a CompactLogix to a Kuka KRC 4 by Ethernet/IP but I do not know to generate the EDS file..... any clue please ?
  17. There have been many good discussions on the applicability of cloud-based solutions for manufacturing and process control systems. On one side, some people have concerns regarding security and control of the information, on the other side, there are identified benefits enabled by cloud systems. From VMS minicomputers to DOS and Windows, from ArcNet to Ethernet, it is inevitable the industrial automation systems shall adopt the technologies that are getting predominant in IT general use; the current environment that I am calling the “Cloud-iPad era” is no different; therefore the practical discussion is not if those new technologies will be applied in the industrial environment, but how. This paper is not intended to join the conceptual discussion about the cloud, but just to present a few simple practical examples, where cloud technologies are already enhancing industrial automation solutions and enabling new business opportunities. 18. Hi, I'm new to both structured text and Modicon. I'm having trouble compiling this tiny procedure, meant to scale a number to an integer when the operator changes it. Although I can set the page edit variable to @localparameters.iLTemp_SPt1 with no problems, I can't get this function to compile as either a local or global procedure. What am I doing wrong?
  19. hello,,,, i want to ask, is there a way to convert the yaskawa PLC ladder program to a Mitsubishi PLC? and what software is used to program PLC brand of YASKAWA?
  20. Hello - Not sure if this is the right place, I apologize if not. Just let me know if I need to move it and can delete and do so. But I am currently working on a project where I am collecting seeds (flower seeds, etc.) and when a certain weight limit is met I'll be turning off a vibratory bowl and opening a chute, etc. Looking for some ideas on the scale and how to do that process in particular. The smallest collection weight will be around 100mg, largest around 8g.  Mainly looking for ideas on the scale.  Thanks for any help/tips, much appreciate.
  21. Good Day, I am seeing intermittent bUs (communication bus) errors on 3 VFD's simultaneously.  These are Yaskawa P1000's with CM092 Industrial Ethernet Cards. There are Stratix 5700 switches between the drives and the Controllogix 1756-L75 CPU.  Happens every day to every week -- intermittent. Reading parameter F6-98, it indicates a 'connection time out'.  I don't understand why I would receive this fault.  IGMP snooping and querier are enabled on all switches, if that matters. I do not have unicast checked but Yaskawa said that didn't matter.  Packet time is 100 milliseconds.  I welcome any input on what might cause this.  One Yaskawa tech said I should set speed to 100 Mbps (now set at 10 Mbps). Any help appreciated.
  22. hello.   I've been trying to communicate this omron plc CP1L-EM30DT1-D, with a yaskawa inverter cimr-vu4a0004faa. but i can't figure out how to make de correct mov or configuration in de DM. i need to run/stop, change frequency.    some help, please. :) 485PRUEBA.cxp 485PRUEBA.opt
  23. Hello I have a scenario that's been bugging me for some time now. The scenario consists of a Micrologix 1400 that I need to control it's output from modbus/tcp. In detail what I really need is to be able to manipulate the O0:0 through modbus/tcp. The PLC would be the master and I would be the slave that triggers the connection to the master. I'm using a Modbus-Client on my PC and that should be the slave. Any idea as to how I can manage that? Currently I can send data to the master but everything is "stored" on B10 and I have no idea how I could write directly on O0. Thanks a bunch guys. PS: I'm borderline noob.
  24. All, I have been trying for days to find a way to control a yaskawa v1000 over Ethernet. I have been trying to use explicit messaging but I cannot find the instance class  etc in any of the yaskawa literature. All I can find is to use EDS files with RS5000 but I have a micrologix 1400 and I don't have that capability. If anyone has any recommendations let me know. Thank You, Liam M.
  25. The 1980s brought the early adoption of the PC platform in automation systems and the first large projects, using the PCs to communicate with PLCs. In the following decades, supervisory and control systems technology evolved, creating several generations of software tools and automation products. A generation means an evolutionary step and a new platform, with a total change of the programming methods, user interfaces and paradigms, going beyond than the merely incremental improvements that are made during the maintenance life cycle of products; a new generation means renewing the internal architecture.
