Hello Everyone, We made a video about the simple explanation of the settings of the abb acq580 driver in the stage of water level control in multi-motor dirty and clean water cycle systems using the automatic commissioning feature of the ABB ACQ580 driver. Your comments and feedbacks are very important for us. Video: Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JANGnykYYyw (For those who can't see the link) The video in our language(Turkish) but we put english subtitles. If you got any question, feel free to ask. Thank you. -
To Whoever might read this: I am currently a journeymen electrician in CA with 12 years experience in the installation, Maintenance and design of commercial electrical systems. I have limited Industrial experience, but I know enough to get myself around without blowing myself up or the customer and their infrastructure. Recently, I have taken a few online courses on PLC programming using RSLogix Micro Lite. I realize this is very entry level stuff, but I thoroughly enjoy the process of forming ladder logic and problem solving and I believe my experience in electrical theory and installation has helped me understand the natural flow of this logic. My interest in this field goes back 10 years or so and I am just now getting around to learning the languages and logic behind the PLC's that I have built entire electrical infrastructures around. With that said, as a full time service electrician who just landed a job in the wastewater electrician/mechanic field, I am seeking opportunities to learn and grow in some form of internship or unpaid position as long as the workload is either remotely operable, or somewhere based out of the greater Sacramento, CA area. I do not want to sound picky, but I am a young father with a full time career, newly married and a busy full time job schedule to keep up with. SO, I am definitely interested in any opportunity that will give me experience to add to my abilities as a programmer for future ventures. Thank you for your consideration! MtHowe15 P.S. I am also TOTALLY up for any hints and tips as to what a good next step would be towards gaining experience!

I have a level measurement system by fmcw radar (Rosemount tankradar), for a filling-emptying process, of very large water chambers. Very sporadically, the radar is momentarily lost and measures 4 to 7 feet below the actual level, only when filling the water chamber. Sometimes the measurement freeze in the middle of the filling process. Due to the criticality of the process, this behavior is dangerous, as it can cause flooding inside the plant This behavior is very sporadically so we are baffled about the root cause of this problem.

Hi Guys, Did anyone performed the process value simulation of Rosemount 5300 Level Transmitter (FF Communication) using Emerson 475 communicator? The simulation jumper is not available physically on the device. The only simulation option in the hand held communicator available in the following path. Configure>>Manual Setup>>Classic View>>Advanced Transducer Block>>Parameters1.. But that option too is highlighted and not editable. Can anybody help me how to simulate the value from device so that I can check in my host DCS (Siemens PCS7). Thanks in Advance, GJ

Can I use a touch panel like magelis (schneider electric) or Panel View (AB) with a stand alone PLC to monitor the level of a silo in real time or would have to be a SCADA system?
