Anyone possibly have software for the Mitsubishi Positioning module AD71 (SW0IX-AD71PE) ? It's a servo positioning module for A Series PLCs that can either be programmed by an old programming terminal or a DOS based program for PC. I think SW1IVD-AD71P could also workReally hoping to find the any compatible software for this controller. Maybe someone has leads?

Hi guys, Has anyone ever implemented a Siemens S7 RFID tag reader into a Mitsubishi PLC system? Is this something that is fairly supported to be able to achieve? Or a right pain to set up?

Hey Everyone, My company decided to purchase a piece of equipment from China, and I have the pleasure of updating its terrible existing controls. We were given the PLC program by the manufacturer, so I was able to make my changes pretty easily - or at least that would be the case if I could actually connect to the dang thing. The source program is indeed openable and editable via GX developer (the original configuration shows it as an FX3). I figured connecting should be straightforward, but I was wrong. I initially used a serial/usb converter that I've used on some older Allen Bradley equipment (which worked fine for that). However, after no luck using it on the "Mitsubishi", I purchased a different cable that I found recommended on this forum (Tripp Lite USA-19HS - https://www.alliedelec.com/product/tripp-lite/usa-19hs/70101537/?gclid=Cj0KCQiAj9iBBhCJARIsAE9qRtB_n8TVAnJdFyYokoEu42W6H6LaT4kVsgJQI1qvPUsUF3rFviKpbt0aApLHEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds). Still, no luck. I've tried 7E1 and every baud rate possible, as well as some other bit/parity configurations (and yes, I've verified that I'm using the right com port, as well as tried moving the converter to different ports and trying those). Nothing seems to go through. I have almost no experience with Mitsubishi beyond a couple of FX5s (which have worked fine, but I connect to those via ethernet). Any help would be greatly appreciated; if I can't make these changes, I'm going to end up rebuilding the whole cabinet with a PLC I can rely on. Thanks in advance.

Dear Mr. PLC forum members, I am brand new to the world of PLC’s and I am looking for advice on PLC platform selection for a device prototype. The proposed PLC is for a “smart” hydroponic system. Please see system I/O and other parameters below. Parameter 1: Price - I am self-funding this so price of PLC and software is important. Happy to spend ~$2000 for PLC; I/O cards and related hardware. Total prototype cost is around $15,000 including PLC. Parameter 2: Availability & Support in Australia. Parameter 3:Newbie Friendly: I intend to code the PLC myself and have never coded a thing in my life before. Parameter 4:Discrete Outputs: 11; Discrete Inputs: 0; Analog Outputs: 2-3; Analog Inputs: 9 Parameter 5: Capability to extend to IOT for remote access control and monitoring (via cellular or wifi router) As you can see, this is a relatively simple automation project. All my research seems to point to Automation Direct’s BRX PLC but I just wanted to get some suggestions and feedback before purchasing. Anything else that might suit my needs? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Bruce

Hello All, Semi-noob here with Mitsubishi PLCs. I'm starting a project in which we are upgrading an existing A Series PLC with the Q. Is there a datasheet somewhere that lists compatible software within Mitsubishi's lineup? I had no luck in searching their site. Also, (in the same project) the existing network uses DeviceNet. I have the Q series compatible card for that - but within what software does one configure the network? Thank you.

Hi all, I want to ask some questions regarding Ethernet Communication with FX3U PLC series. I have 2 PLCs of FX3U series (FX3U-48M and FX3U-64M) and I want to monitor its data (input and output) using ethernet communication in real time. My questions are: 1. Does FX3U PLC have ethernet port so I can connect it directly to my Laptop/PC? 2. If no, do I need to use FX3U-ENET-ADP and can it be used for 2 PLC or only 1? 3. What software do I need to use to configure the communication between PLC and FX3U-ENET-ADP? 4. Does this configuration change the existing PLC program? 5. Can i transmit the data wireless-ly using some kind of ethernet to wifi adapter and what additional hardware do i need for that?

Dear members , 1.)I have sensor which i read it from analog input (0-10v) specific value and i will pas it via analog output (0-10) to controll VFD for air spped controll . so i'd like to keep specific value for example i will set value 260 , so if analog read les that this value than analog output increase voltage to analog output , if analog read more than this value output decrease voltage . 2.) i have Digital to analog register D8096 which 0 value means 0 volt and 4090 means 10v , so when i need to pas value to i make MOV D200 D8090 , is there a posibility to limit write value to D200 to not pass 4090 ?

Designed a SCADA System using VB.NET. Everything working fine but coming to performance getting 2 to 3 seconds delay. Using FX3U32m Plc with ENET Module for Data reading and writing. I am having 200 addresses to read. Using MX Component as communication interface between PLC and SCADA. Is there any alternative or solution for this problem. Using one timer to read all data and update properties based on received data. Thank you..
