  1. ML1200 and errorcode 21h

Alex, Attached is a page from the ML1200 Programming Manual 1762-rm001_-en-p. The error 21h is listed. I hope this helps. 21h_Error.pdf
  2. ML1200 and errorcode 21h

It seems that you may not have defined some data correctly in a control block. Without your program, it will be impossible to find. Try going through the program and see if the data is defined correctly in any control blocks, ie.. SCP, MOV, FLL, ect..
  3. There seems to be some confusion between "Nested" and "Extended" or "Parallel" branches. I have attached a print out from the help file from RSLogix 500. A maximum of 4 "Nested" branches per rung. A maximum of 75 "Parallel" branches per rung. I hope this helps Branching_Instructions.pdf
  4. I believe the web server is set to refresh every 30 - 60 seconds. The web server will not show real time I/O updates. I hope this answers some questions.
  5. Yes you can connect the ML1100 to the PowerFlex 40 and communicate via Modbus/RTU. There is a breakout module (1763-NC01) that is available but it is not required. There are program examples in the download section.
  6. I have attached a PDF copy of the Link by rpraveenkum. With the new Knowledgebase from AB, the links will not point to the file unless the person has setup a username and password with AB and after that person is logged in. Recipe_ActiveX_control_for_RSView_ME_Station.pdf
  7. Connecting to Remote Locations

TW, Here is another Cellular Modem that I have been looking at. http://www.multitech.com/PRODUCTS/Families/MultiModemEDGE/ I hope this helps.
  8. Shoddy workmanship = Sleepy pissed off

gravitar, Did you work for the same company that use to work for? The Parent company of the company that I use to work for owns companies that make Golf Carts, Helicopters, and tools for the electrical contractor. The management had these same ways of doing things. Just get it fixed. They didn't care if the wire was pulled back to fix it properly just fix it as fast as you can. They asked why you wanted to fix it the right way because it may take more than 10 minutes. swimmy
  9. Shoddy workmanship = Sleepy pissed off

I can say that I have seen this sort of practice on many machines. You can blame the person, or persons, responsible, but how much of this can be blamed on management? Coming from an Industrial enviroment, one has to do with what one has. I am not saying that it is acceptable to wire a panel like that, but when you have Management screaming down your neck to get the machine up and running, you do what you can with what you have available. Maybe the person, or persons who wired the panel that way, ment to return and straighten out the wiring. The budget may be another reason. Management stripped the budget to nothing. There is barely enough in the manitenance budget to purchase the necessary cleaning supplies and toiletries to last one month. Have you ever been in a manufacturer who does not have a "Maintenance Department"? I have. The pictures displayed look perty good to what I have seen. At least there is an enclosure and the wiring is somewhat labeled. I do not in any way agree with the above wiring practice. When I see something like this I try and straighten out the wiring and label the wiring if at all possible.
  10. Another company would be Cal Controls. Here is their Web Site. http://www.cal-controls.com/
  11. Timmay - My Birthday Video

TW, I suggest you get the movie "The Breakfast Club" and the movie "Pretty In Pink" and watch both. The scene is from Pretty in Pink. Happy Birthday. Happy watching. Both are good movies.
  12. Timmay - My Birthday Video

Good Clip. I thought the movie was Pretty in Pink. Shows my age...
  13. Yes, the 2702-NC8 cable is identical pinout to the 1761-CBL-PM02. the only difference is the PM02 has a 90deg plug.
  14. replacement for AB Panelviews

I have been trying to find a better Touch Screen also, but I can not seem to get away from IDEC Touch Screens. They added Ethernet/IP to their 10.4" and 12.1" Screens. Here is a link. http://www.idec.com/usen/products/Catalogs...Interfaces.html The programing software is about $130.00 one time fee with free updates. These screens work with most PLC's on the market. 15. Alaric, The program looks good. The only thing I would change is the Greater than instruction. "GRT". I would put in a "GEQ", Greater than or Equal to, instruction in its place. With the current instruction, "GRT", the value must reach 1001 in order to execute. With the "GEQ" instruction, the value of 1000 will execute the rung. Just my 2 cents,
  16. Most robust, industrial PLC

I agree with Ken. Any top brand PLC would be the best choice. The thing that I always look at is the Programming Software and the world wide recognition. No matter how good a PLC is, if the programming software is not user friendly, the programmer is going to struggle with programming the PLC. In my opinion, AB, Omron and Mitsubishi have the best programming software. I also like the Eaton ELC. The porogramming software is a lot like the Mitsubishi GX Developer. I hope all of the information that you receive from this forum will be helpful.
  17. I see that you are trying to input too large a value. The maximum value for the 1769-HSC is 40,000 not 400,000. I have attached a KB from AB. EB224671.pdf
  18. ELECTRICAL SYMBOLS

The timer contacts are symbol numbers 30. 31. 32. 33.
  19. When I clicked on TW's link, the page asked me for my e-mail address and password. Attached is the document in PDF format. I hope this will resolve your online edit woes. I have not had a problem after I followed this example. 3C9530D8.pdf
  20. I am not sure about the standard PanelViews, but the PanelView Plus CF cards are to be formated FAT32. Have you tried to format the CF cards FAT16 for the Standard PanelViews? Check with your local reps to see if they have the answers.
  21. RSView ME

I received a Quick Start guide from my local AB rep. Here is the guide in PDF format. swimmy RSView_ME_3.pdf
  22. I have used the Radioshack USB to Serial converter. Very reliable and dependable. So far I have not had any problems. Used with, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Siemens, CTC/Parker Touch Screens, Idec Touch Screens, Mitsubishi Touch Screens and others with no problem. Here is a link to the web site: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.js...rentPage=search You can change the com port associated to the USB adapter in Device Manager. Attached is a screen shot. swimmy
  23. Hello All, I hope this is not a dumb question, but what is an "RSS" feed is. What does "RSS" stand for? I have been seeing this a lot lately and I just want to stay in the "loop". Thank you for your patients.
