  1. Control Logix Battery

    We do never power the plc off, only when a big maintenance is required, so once a year. And even when I do a download or whatever we normally switch the processor to Stop and then tu Run again. That's why I don't really understand this battery problem. Sorry, but what is a "1756-BATM battery" ? Thanks

    The battery with the ControlLogix processors are easy to be empty. So if you have to change them every 2 months and you have many processors it can become expensive. Ron the bon
  3. Hi kothy, if you have communication between your pc and the Ethernet card you can ping and have an aswer. Here some possibilities: - for direct communication use a crossover cable, but you have to set an IP address manually for your pc - check if subnet mask addresses are right - check for double addresses (for direct comm not really useful) - check ethernet cable - be sure about the IP address in the Ethernet card good luck Ron the bon
