We uploaded a program from the PLC. This was on a rung ---| |---/-----{ } the ---| |--- Had an address & was true the ----{ } had an address but the ---/--- didn't. Whatever this is was preventing the Output from being true. No labels because we uploaded the program. We used the Demo version of GX Developer. Thanks George

They said they couldn't, but had no problem sending me the file. They sent the one that goes to the machine, but it is in Spanish. This one is a generic that they said is in English. Thanks George

RSView32 Works
georgegraziano replied to georgegraziano's topic in Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
I was told to try <CTRL> <ALT> <P>, to get out of that graphic. It worked but only after I did it twice. Thanks George -
When I start up RSView32 Works and start the project, the wrong graphic is coming up. Is there a keystroke to close that graphic so that I can start the correct one? All the clients are fine, only on the server is this an issue. Is there a command line to start up RSView32 Works in run mode and on the graphic I am trying to get running? Thanks George

Hi, For some reason, one of my laptops is fine and I see all of a thread all at once. On my other laptop, it shows one response at a time. I can't find where to change it back. I like to see all of the thread on the same page. Thanks George

Clicking on my name did fix the issue, it was in outline view. I may not have been logged in on this computer. Thanks for the quick responses. Thanks George -

log data to database/ethernet micrologix
georgegraziano replied to mos89's topic in Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
Hi Ken, I made the mistake of changing where my email was being sent to, so I was unable to respond the last couple of days. I tried it in my program and also the example from TW Controls, no luck. I tried it on 2 different computers. I finally completely deleted everything started from scratch and not sure why but, it is now working. Tomorrow, I will try it on the origional program and hope everything works. Yes I know that it only logs from a flse to true transition. Thanks George -

datalog_test.RSS Ken, Here it is. Thanks George -
log data to database/ethernet micrologix
georgegraziano replied to mos89's topic in Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
I tried getting this to work without any luck. I then created a program with just the rungs in Tim's example. Nothing seems to make it to the datalog program much less Microsoft Excel. I am online with the processor. Any way to troubleshoot, first in RSLogix, then in datalog program? Thanks -
Square D Sy/Max
georgegraziano replied to fischb22's topic in Modicon / Telemecanique / Schneider Electric
There was a ISA card you could plug into an older computer that would put you on the Sy/net network. But really go to the www.niobrara.com/ web site, you need a RS422 to RS232 converter and the Sy/Mate software. This will plug directly to the Processor or the network module. George -
If you don't have the editor software, you have to do it directly from the Smartscreen itself. I don't have access to one anymore, but I seem to remember, escape 3 times, follow the menu to alarms. I would then just edit what I wanted or copy one of the other lines. George

Roy, I have not used one of those from Automation direct, but by the specs should work. The Action Instruments, AP4380-2000, is what we used. George
-
Roy, Cheapest way would be to go through an isolator. There are many different brands out there. We used Action Instruments, 4-20mA in 4-20mA out. George
-
Thanks, I have others, but I will start with the one I sent him. George ROM121_30598_204_01B1.pdf

Roy, Go online when everything is working OK. Then go to rack addressing, copy and paste the rack addressing. Also, has anything been changed or added? This will help in answering the 20009 error. In the years I worked on SquareD PLC's most of the time Analog Out's seemed to be the biggest problem causing processors to halt. Does a drive or other piece of similar equipment come on only during that step ( one that gets a value from the ROM-121)? ROM-121 modules are NON-ISOLATED and seem to have the greatest problems. I sent you an email with the ROM-121 manual attached. I'm not sure I can attach an 850K file here. George

Do you know how to check a slot register. This is old software and processor. If you have worked with this type of processor and can supply more assistance I will be very grateful. Thanks Roy This was an email from Roy. I said that best to ask and get answers through the forum. So to start, Roy, what software and version are you using? What is the rack addressing of the racks? Does it immediately go into fault when you try to get the processor to run? George

Error 20009 is a slot register error. Per the manual ---- the 0009 will point out the first register number assigned to the CPU register slot containing a faulty module. Further inspection of that registers status field will provide additional diagnostics. Hope this points you in the right direction. George

Fred, It has been a while, but check segment scheduler. George -
Thanks, Great idea. It would be nice for the ones that don't have that particular software package to see it as a PDF. Maybe both ways? Thanks Again, George

Calibratiing 140 ATI 030 00
georgegraziano replied to controltestguy's topic in Modicon / Telemecanique / Schneider Electric
CTG this is from their website. http://www.telemecanique.com/en/index.htm Do the ARI030 10 and ATI030 00 modules require calibration ? Document Number: RESL2309 Revision: 1.0 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question Do the ARI030 10 and ATI030 00 modules require calibration ? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Answer No. Each of these modules employ onboard firmware that will run a continuous self calibration routine. So just a couple of questions: Is this the first time you used a thermocouple module? I see in the setup, you have to tell it where to get the cold junction temperature from - on board or channel one. Which did you select? George
