  1. Until recently, I haven't had to connect to a piece of hardware using a serial connection in quite sometime. Well, that all changed yesterday when I needed to connect to a Watlow F4T Controller. I dug around in the bottle drawer of my desk and pulled at not one, but two USB-Serial Converters that I saved for just such an occasion! My old ones worked on everything from Allen Bradley SLCs, to Schneider Drives. Unfortunately, neither appear to work in a Windows 10 environment. Searching the internet, I was not able to find any drivers for these old converters, but did find some posts in another forum stating that Microsoft changed how it manages its USB ports from Win 7 to Win 10. Thanks Microsoft! Sorry, I will cut this rant short and just ask my question. Can anyone recommend a USB-Serial Converter that works in a Windows 10/11 environment?  Respectfully, Shane
  2. CCW V13.0

Howdy Gentlemen! I am having the same issue, I followed ElectronGuru links and downloaded and installed OPC Core Components Redistributable (x64) 3.00.108.msi. I rebooted my pc(windows 10) and tried to create a new project but still received the same OPC version error as mentioned above. BTW I am also using version 12.  Thanks!
  3. Controllogix 1756-OF8 Wiring help

Joe, Thank you for the speedy response!
  4. Hello everyone!  I am having some issues with the internal wiring/wiring of the 1756-OF8 analog output card in my Controllogix L55 controller. I have just recently started using  Allen bradley products, so please bear with me. If my memory serves me correctly, in my past experiences with other plc vendors I thought I was required to provide 24vdc+ from the power supply, which is common to all the channels used for driving the analog out(4-20ma) to the field device being controlled. But I can find any documentation from Allen Bradley that supports this. Can anyone shed some light on how to connect the power supply to the OF-8 card.   Thank you!! Shane
