THE SYSTEM CONFIGURATION IS: A CPU SLC 5/03, ONE MODULE 1747-SN (SLOT1), CONFIG. 1 SLOT/ GROUP, LOGICAL RACK 0, FULL RACK. THE INVIEW MESSAGE DISPLAY IS 2706-P22R. SOMEONE HAVE A LADDER EXAMPLE, IT WOULD BE VERY HELPFULL!!!!

Hello everyone, I use to work with Contrologix, but I have some doubts about the feature called "RPI or request packge interval". The question is: when I configure the discrete or analog module to work with a RPI in 10ms, the informantion will be avaliable during 10ms, or , the information will be avaliable each 10ms? If the the answer is the second case, how many times this information has been keept to be consumed? Tks for while

Scrolling Display With Clx Or Slc500
ByteBuster replied to ByteBuster's topic in Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
Mr. Stupidav, can you send me some sample of this ladder, I could make the scrolling messge with SQO instruction but to make one word you should work hard. Another question.: Someone Knows how to link string instructions with SQO or FIFO to send words straight from the keyboard to status file (B3:xx)? TKS for while -

Good idea Mr. Beaufort, I'll try to use this instruction. Thanks a lot. -
Scrolling Display With Clx Or Slc500
ByteBuster posted a topic in Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
I'm making a experience with SLC500 and CLX. First: I wanna make a scrolling display using the status leds(only output modules) from SLC500, to show same messages. You can ask me. Why? The answer is. To show the plc working on automation fair in my city. Second:I wanna make the same thing with a ControlLogix, but I wanna make the scrolling display, using 12 lamps (matrix 4x3). The problem is:I don't have any idea how to do that. TKS for while!!! -
How can I calculate the number 3840 at the discret I/O, I think that 1 bit is missing, cos if you make the calculation: 256 elements x 15 bits = 3840 I/O´s, only SLC 500 5/01 have this number, the other models, (5/02, 03,04...), the number is 4096 (256 elements x 16 bits). Can someone tell how can I find this number (3840), cos I´ve never seen before a processor with 15 bits...

Couple times I´ve used this tool to make same ladder logics, and I realized that when gonna do a very difficult ladder logic, this tool is very useful, cause, if you make a correct fluxogram and convert to ladder logic your program will be almost free of erros, but , if you gonna do a small ladder logic, this tool is not good, cause your program, will gets bigger than you need (it will work, but you´ll spend more instructions than necessary). So, for small programs, the best way, is the old way..."learning by doing"

Have someone seen this problem before? I´m working with 3 PV1000 plus (connected by Ethernet), couple weeks ago, I´ve installed a screensaver using a 1784 cf64 flashmemory with the company´s logo. The background of this logo was white, and after same power outage or a power off/on, the background of each PV gots black. I´ve tryed to make new downloads, but every time the problem happens. If someone wanna see, the logo file is attached.

Comm. between SLC 500, 1747 SN and pv550
ByteBuster replied to ByteBuster's topic in Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
I Agree with you Jon about the BTR/BTW ,is quite easy to use these instructions, but I´m working with one of the oldest machine that we have in our mill, and I´m not confortable to work with M0/M1 files, as I said, I spent a couple days trying to configure and my discrete I/Os at the 1747 SN are already used. If you have some exemple with this kind of files, please let know, but I think I will decide to update my system. Thanks for while!! -

Thank you lot guys, I`ll contact my local distributor and make request to upgrade my CPU OS 302 series B for series C. Firetubes, you were right about the M0/M1 files, I was trying to use that, but the configuration is too much complicated, I spent almost 2 days working over that and I couldn`t do it work well... By the way, thanks. -

Thank you for while, I`m using a 1747 SN series B, but, at the SLC 500, the options BTR and BTW are not enable, I think the problem is my CPU version, (1747 L532 Series D). Have someone other idea? -

Hi guys, I´m trying to configure commucation between SLC500 5/03 and a PV500 using a 1747 SN Scanner card (RIO), in this application my all remote I/Os are already used and I need to send a value to show up at the PV550, so , how can I configure the PLC and PV550 to use a N or F word? Remember my all Remote I/Os(O:s/17 up to O:s/23 and all inputs) are used.
