The PositionSet contact is supposed to be a normally open contact in Rung 1 (corrected image below).  I made a mistake.

    FakeABS2.jpg.bcea5e53f140ca947d357a57e70

Once that is true, then this is the case:

Rung 1 will move the actual position into the SavedPosition register every scan after the position has been set to the axis.  So, when the power goes off, the position in the SavedPosition variable is the last value that was written prior to the power turning off.  When the power turns back on, it uses this position to set the position of the axis.  When the position has been set, the move instruction is enabled to prepare for the next power loss.

Dear Michael, Thank for your support  I am also hope it will work  I Will try this in that time am facing any issue on this I will tell you please support me.

    Thank u in advance...

Well, it may not be exactly right (if the motor moves at all when power is off), but this should work (I did not test it, but think it will work):

    FakeABS.jpg.7bbd40927f99b1a458045e102ff6

Make sure that SavedPosition is set to retain and PositionSet is not as highlighted in yellow above.  These variables can be local or global, I used local here.  the first time that you run this, the servo position will be set to 0.

Note that positional errors due to this code could cause the position to eventually be off by significant amounts if the motor moves with the power off (someone pushing it by hand, the motor coasting to a stop, etc.)  Make sure that this error in position does not cause a problem with your machine or with the people using the machine.

Dear, Michael    How the before power loss position will save in "SavedPosition"  I cant understand your point can you Please explain.

This is not what he means.  He means the ability to "comment" a particular coil, contact, Function or Function block.  This is a "comment" for the element and is not attached to the address associated with the element.

Oh oops.. I understand it like help function, sorry for confusion

  4. Dear, Folks Greetings of the day

I am got very confused in "State Machine" Based Logic design, now am doing Index table based vision inspection system it having 6axis servo, now the major issue is I need to do the better logic with easy error traceability technique. So am chose state machine based system design but the error handling of system is very difficult for me. Any Process automation experts give me the proper solution for this issue or suggest any good book for this state machine error handling concept. Am tried it in web search but I can't get suitable answer

    < Thanks in advance >

Really miss the ability to have individual element properties for instructions as available in CX-Programmer. Please, please add this to Sysmac Studio.

Its available you just select particular element (Instruction Block) then press F1 key it will show automatically element help.

The solution is to replace the motor with one that has an absolute encoder.  Any option of trying to save the position in the NX1P2 is unreliable.

Dear Michael , Thank for your suggestion,  Its high inertia motor with absolute encoder not available in my country so only am proceeded with Incremental one . Reliability is not an matter we committed to customer.

Am tried data move to retainable variable in the time of P_On falling edge but its not storing. Can u suggest any system parameter Bit it will give one pulse in the time of power loss.  This data very useful to my application.

  7. Greetings every one...!

I am using NX1P2 PLC and G5 series Incremental Servo for decoiler machine. Now am facing issue, in the time of feeder working power interrupted then last position values are lost, but I need to retain last position value and feed again remain position. In the case  I am telling about (MC_Axis000.Act.Pos) this variable value I need to store and retrieve it back when power came.

Any sysmac software experts give me the best solution for this issue.  Thanks in Advance...!!

For Vijeo Designer V6.2 I have found how to add XBT OT Fanmily from Schneider Electric FAQ

    http://www.schneider.com.au/support/index?page=content&country=FR&lang=fr&locale=fr_FR&id=FA357907&prd=

How to activate the XBTOT family in Vijeo Designer's target list?
    To activate the XBTOT family:

    1 - Open Vijeo Designer.
    2 - Go to "Help" -> "About ..."
3 - In the "License" tab, select "Upgrade".
    4 - Enter the following code: VJDHTGTOPV62M.
    5 - Restart Vijeo Designer.

The XBTOT family will now be accessible from Vijeo Designer's target list.

In license Tab upgrade option not present sir,

  9. finally the project was completed by using the omron temperature controller  replacement of delta, communication method omron FINS network it works good but third party is very difficult.  Tq for ure replay sir......

but now also am little confused in that RS485-RTU simple master to third party devices

further i will post some i am tried program details plz support me

Ah, yes, you are correct.  Then you cannot use "Easy Modbus".

oh then why Modbus-RTU easy master present in cp1e series plc's its not usefull ah...?

(sorry for ask this sir am also an Omron channel application engineer but its my doubt i want clarification)

This will work is is using rs232c non protocol transmission function blocks.

you may have issues with this if you need handshaking as I don't believe it supports it like modbus easy master so I don't think it will work in point to point 232 but it will with multi drop 485.

You should set the dip switches on,on,on,off,on,on 1 through to 6 with the cp1w-cif11 or 12

documentation in English and French and a cheat sheet showing the setup between omron master and slave.

I have tried this and it works at least with the send register function x_10

It is pulled from the Omron  support site as Jpv seems to make a lot of the omron modbus function blocks.

    Cheers Jono

    Modbus RTU Master(CP1L) to Slave(CP1L) RS485.pdf

Tq sir u're replay very use full in my feature projects but now am using CP1E-N40DR-A only it not support  FB function so any another way.....? plz suggest

  12. Thank for u're replay sir, am using CP1E is don't have Serial gateway and protocol macro it's only having Modbus-RTU easy master protocol am trying to connect delta temperature controller, plz suggest another solution to me like general modbus packet writing tips am using optional port as a rs485 communication

  13. Hi, Jay sharp

I thing this link may help you

CJ1W-CT021 high speed input module it have following features:

    input frequencies to 500 kHz.

    • 32-bit counting range.

    • Digital variable noise filter provided.

    • 5, 12, 24 V line driver inputs available.

    • Supports simple, ring, and linear counting modes.

    • Supports two external control inputs, and a total of 16 functions can be set: open gate, close gate, preset, reset, capture, stop/capture/reset combinations, reset enable, and more.

    • One Unit supports two external outputs and 30 internal outputs with counter value zone comparisons, target comparisons, delays, holds, programmable outputs, and hysteresis settings.

  14. How to establish modbus-rtu communication with omron CP1E plc(master) and delta temperature controller(slave), i am using "modbus easy master" protocol but, and communication data's all are correct but i cant communicate, am sending the packet but the slave not properly responding.... any one give me a correct solution and send any sample program.
