  1. Instead of changing the CPU at great expense why not look at changing the protocol of the scales ASCII Serial to something like Modbus     Not used this device but Google turned up many similar  https://www.csimn.com/CSI_pages/appsConvertASCII.html
  2. Wonderware Help

Can you not take a new PLC  and then just install all the WW porducts you need,   transfer license, transfer the project files  and test.    You may find issues if your wonderware doesn't support you OS,   rather than try and "ghost" / Clone machines.
  3. Analysing SCADA systems

Use-a-bility,     If we look at something like ifix  from years ago.   Lot of people liked it and some hated it  but that was because of the Use-ability rather that the functionality.   I system need to be able to be usable by engineers and sometimes the simplest of tasks can be  really complex making engineers  become haters.
  4. Hmi screen for controllogix

I would go with an Exor 710   or the   JSmart710   or Beijer Exterme  if you need full IP rating
  5. The most horrific SCADA screens you've seen

I can go worse than that -  in the 90's the company I used to work for put out systems with this ->
  6. Simple/Cheap HMI/Panel suggestions

Support most PLC's   Speak to Garry Spokes at Scattergood and Johnston (UK)    about them   - well impressed   and "Cheap"  for the functionailty.    Jmobile   Scatts
  7. Wonderware Alarms

Hi were using Wonderware 2017 (intouch) with Wonderware Historian ( 10k tags)    is there a way to download the Alarms  that you would see on an alarms banner ( With/without filter)   to a CSV file for analysis to work out the Alarm KPi's   I assume that this Alarms list is stored in the historian   Would be looking to get it into a csv file or excel so I can look at columns On Time,Off Time,Ack Time,Duration,ID,Area,System,Description,Category,Type
  8. Does WInCC v15 RT Proffessional come with a OPC UA interface? Can Azure talk OPC? or do I have to use MQTT. Can WinCC talk to MQTT? What software do i need to get WinCC to talk MQTT, or OPC UA, assume Kepware will support OPC UA as it is an OPC server. Can it talk to Azure Cloud? if so how? All of above is because I am currently looking for a way to link a Siemens PLC (s7-1511) & Wonderware scada to a Microsoft Azure Cloud. So far I think I could use MQTT or OPC but not sure what support what and how to go about it. Is there a guide on how to setup an OPC Client on Azure Im so confused with this cloud stuff.
  9. OTL with no OTU

That would produce a "Duplicate  Destructive warning "  so frowned upon.
  10. You can replace the program and the firmware  some model using a flashcard,   but these are created on similar same plc using RSLogix.
