  1. Hi, I have a a few substations and I´d like to have a local SCADA in each of them. What is the best scada to use with reasonable price? Does anyone know if there is a solution without the need to have a PC for each substation? Thanx
  2. That is why I don't buy SCADA from big boys any more. I use mySCADA   Innovations and perfection is not with Rockwell or Wonderware people any more, industry has moved.
  3. Generations of Technology in Industrial Automation Software

Hi,  interesting topic. If I can add to it, I would say we see much more dramatic changes in the field within last 5 to 6 years than in last 20. The biggest change is the standardisation of technology, something what happened in internet many many years ago. You can see following criteria becomes more and more adopted and what is more important required by the users common communication protocol with open specification (OPC UA in Europe and MQTT in USA) operating system independence (windows, Linux, Mac OS) mobile devices support web based (HTML5, SVG, JS) data-mining  etc. Great example of this achievement and what it can bring to end users is mySCADA, and you can see even big brands like Siemens do follow. For example Siemens adopted the OPC UA protocol for its PLCs this year.   Link is here: mySCADA
  4. Stripped down HMI Software

Hi, definitely worst checking is mySCADA, it is written in C++ so is really fast with small memory footprint. Uses HTML5 and SVG. Connects to almost any PLC but also to databases. Compared to Wonderware, the setup and usage is much simpler, but function wise, it is as rich as Wonderware. Also pricing is much better. You get a professional support and very fast setup and learning curve.   Link is here mySCADA
