Hi guys it's been a while since I've been here. Just wanted to know ,is it possible for monitoring purposes only to connect 2 x plc5s through the rs232 ports connected to a panelview plus 1250 serial port, I've seen a 232bss4 module been used to communicate with a few plcs  but connected to a pc. Any idea's 

Sorry for the late reply guys.i was using a serial db9,of which we use for all other Quantums.the strange thing is that after the weekend ,I got straight in and downloaded the program with no issues at all,I hadn't done anything different,what's happened now is that the Plc is not communicating with the magelis Hmi I guess that has defaulted as well .the hmi is connected via the modus serial port.is the a way of finding the address ? as I've never worked with this type of addressing  system.

Thanks for the reply Daniel,i deed try connecting via Modbus and Modbus plus ports,whats strange is that after being powered down over the weekend i managed to write the program on my first try today, what changed?? .

Hi guys, its been a whle since ive been here,please could you help.i have aquantum 133 controller that was switched off, and lo and behold when switched back on the low battery light came on and the program has been lost.im useing proworx to try and go on line with the controller but keeps timing out(364) ,i am able to connect to other quantums with no problem.the cpu is ready with no faults. please help.

Hi guys, i am using gt designer 3 ver1 and A series plc . and i would like to get a percentage of 2 registers .do i use the data expression or script to achieve this,and where can i find a manual that explains in detail on how to use scripts and data expressions. thanks

Hi guys ,i hope you can help, iam trying to monitor a project on softgot 2000 created with gt designer 3 and connected to an fx32 and  also tried with an AS CPU plc. ive setup all comms. when i start to monitor it comes up with the message" https://ufile.io/1cz20 is it possible  thanks iam trying to use my PC as a HMI and talk to an As1cpu ,using softgot 2000 ,firstly do I have to be connected to the Plc before I open   softgot ? or can open softgot ,load the application and then connect to the Plc .I've tried both ways and this is when I get the message that the got type resolution of the project is different from the one specified in the gt softgot2000. I've changed the resolution the project and although matched ,I still get the same message. I've tried gt softgot2000 commander to setup comms and environment .ive read the manual but still can't get it right,please help. thanks

The project is still under development ,so iam testing on the Pc,.iam new to hmi programming,and you've pointed me in the right direction when you said lookup bit comment and word comment display. i want to display different product names when the value of a register  changes .will have a look tomorrow and let you know . Hi guys , Iam trying to display a text when a register has a certain value or even when a bit is on,but can't seem to get the text to display,please help.
