  1. I have used these before and unfortunately as stated in the manual: SmartSlice I/O Units cannot be configured nor accessed through the EtherCAT Communication Unit SmartSlice I/O Units are only supported with their default I/O data configuration. Luckily for us or not as the case may be, we use the profinet coupler so set all of the modules up in CX-Configurator FDT. It is especially annoying for the thermocouple cards as they are default N-Type iirc. Depending on the card there are dip switches on the side which can be used to ignore the soft settings, so you can set K-Type at least on the GRT-TS2T without the configuration software.
  2. Hi All, I am trying to change the IP address of a CJ2M-CPU33 using the CMND instruction, I am basing my assumptions on the fact I can do this via the Molex Ethernet/IP tool. I have a piece of mobile equipment that moves between network locations on site, each room it moves to has its own network with an address as follows 172.23.1.5 for room 1, and 172.23.2.5 for room 2. As you can imagine going to change the IP address for every time they move the equipment becomes a bit overkill. I cant see any way to set DHCP permanently so thought it would be possible to change the address of the PLC via the HMI and the CMND function. I have tried following the examples in the manual but cannot get any other response than  0: 2810 1: 0401 which appears to be service unsupported. Any ideas on what I should be populating my command words with? As far as I can see I should be using Service code 0x0E (get attribute single) Class 0xF5, Instance 1, attribute 5 to just read the IP address, once i got that working I was planning on changing to service code 0x10 to write the address I wanted. Thanks!
  3. Change CJ2M-CPU33 IP address with CMND instruction

That would be a preferable option, but I am severely space limited, plus the PLC is the only thing which has an IP, the HMi is connected over serial so thats not a problem.
  4. I have had a similar situation in the past, the setting for Total cable length on the master was set too low, it might be related?
  5. NX1P2 Fins

If you are using the NX102 then FINS is only supported on ethernet port 2. It looks like you are connected to port 1.
  6. That's what we suspected. Thanks for your help
  7. Hi All, I have been asked to look for safety values for the NX Safety range from omron, I was able to find the PFH(d) values and the SFF but our process requires values for PFD(avg) due to the requirement of being a low demand mode system. I have been in contact with our local omron safety rep and they seem unable or unwilling to tell us these values, does anyone know where I can find them? Thank in advance!
  8. I understood it as each component has a PFH(d) or PFD(avg) value which is then used to calculate the entire system value to determine the SIL or PL. But I cant be sure as I am also not an expert on safety!
