We are having similar problems with the safe speed option module. Kept getting Fbk1 fault. AB tech support had us switch to the dual encoder board. No change. Did you do anything else to fix your problem?

Hi, I'm new to this forum and relatively new to AB PLC's. I'm trying to setup a PID Loop to work with an HMI. I understand that SWM is the preferred manual control method. My problem is that when I set the "PID1.SWM" bit it immediately resets. Nothing in the logic is resetting it and I have tried forcing the bit on in the logic. I'm using a 1769-L36ERM processor with Logic Designer 5000 v24.
