  1. 1310 Simposer software

I made an inquiry to Avery Weightronix, and it seems they will only work through their distributors, and of course the contact info they gave me is our local scale supplier........ First Base.................... Looks like I'll have to bite the bullet and let them perform their magic........ Regards JohnR
  2. 1310 Simposer software

Hey All, Got a little project going where I want to get a weight number out of a scale indicator into my PLC. I've done a little research on this and it is do-able, just having trouble finding some software for the scale. The scale can be setup to broadcast in MODBUS ASCII, and my PLC (Unitronics) has a FB that lets you "roll your own" communication protocol that should let me grab the broadcast from the scale. The scale is an Avery Weigh-Tronix 1310, and uses a programming software called "1310 SimPoser B", I've seen it used before by a tech from from our local scale supplier, seems to be a derivative of BASIC. I could get the scale guy to come over and make the change for me, but they make it sound like Rocket Science and could cost me up to a $1000 for their tech to type in a few lines of code...... Besides, I like to be in control of my projects and not have to rely on the local tech....... I've done a search and have found instructions for using the software, but I can't seem to find where to get it. (must be some super-secret-scale-guy-only kind of thing). Has anyone out there used this software and know where to get it?? Regards, JohnR
