    I'm not Sinumerik expert but the ones I have seen that are 810D were is from beginning of this century. I presume that you can find manufacturing date on sticker.
  2. communicate to intelligent Module

    Q50UDEH  is CPU and it has some intelligent module(s) on the right side of base rack, or in expansion rack. Best thing is to update GxWorks from Mitsubishi site, and try again. Could be that it is some communication or motion module that requires supplementary Mitsubishi application.  Anyway  there is not enough data from your side. Maybe you could post a picture or source from PLC.
  3. You can change  QJ71E71-100 buffer memory from program and by doing that, you can change Destination IP Address.
  4. CC-Link IE and MC Protocol, are not the same protocols. You can add another MC Protocol connection, on the PLC CPU, using UDP, but with different port.
  5. CC-Link IE Protocols

    For me CC-link TSN is excellent way to move away from EtherCAT and other ported to the Ethernet CAN based solutions, which have many benefits but some very big drawbacks. Determinism and speed was my reason why I have opted few times EtherCAT, and it was always PITA.

    This statement is interesting to me. I'm against any vendor lock, and I don't understand how it is vendor locked (my bad).  See this link: https://www.renesas.com/us/en/blogs/art-networking-series-7-tsn-virtualized-environment It's not related to CC-link IE TSN, but to TSN.
  7. CC-Link IE Protocols

    TSN is definitely not exclusive to CC-link, but there are two big advantages comparing to others. First one is called Renesas. Renesas is semiconductor producer and it's shares are owned by Mitsubishi. I saw that Renesas is major chip supplier also for Profinet TSN. Second one is that CC-Link IE TSN implementation for user is extremely simple, both on hardware and software, comparing to others. Disadvantage is that there are not many compliant products, in this moment, but I find that with other TSN solutions even worse.  For example there are not many OPC UA FX(OPC UA over TSN) products in this moment. Good thing is that you can implement other CC-link IE solutions within CC-link IE TSN, although if you do that there are some drawbacks. I personally find CC-link on RS485 obsolete, like any other solution not based Ethernet, especially as motion control likes fiber-optics very much, and I think that TSN is definitely way to go (whatever protocol you find suitable for it).

    It will not reset, but you can make reset by yourself. If you select LC then max value is 4,294,967,295 and I think that it is enough for most applications.

    As I stated before, I never had experience with FFP - I was just reading FFP datasheet. If you can send me two examples of FFP values, represented in real format and bit values I could try to do it in ST. Just for fun and it may help to OP.

    I read the explanation about the Motorola float format a few minutes ago and if I understood correctly, it is as following: MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMSEEEEEEE (every letter represents bit position) Where M is mantisa, S is sign and E is exponent. On other side IEEE 32 bit float format is: SEEEEEEEEMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Just by looking at it, it seams to that simple bit(s) shifting to the left will convert from Motorola float to IEEE, and shifting to right will convert from IEEE to Motorola float. Just you need to bear in mind to remove or add that extra bit in exponent. Never done it and I have never used Motorola float but it looks like that.

    I don't know anything about SAIA, but I really do believe that there ways to copy this registers in memory and convert them bit by bit. I takes little bit of time and little bit of knowledge, but it is doable. 
  14. Mitsubishi GTDesigner 3 Alarm Ack Bit to PLC

    From menu select Object->Switch->Switch. Then put button where you want. After that select that switch/button properties and first add "Action (Key code)", then select Key Code Type "Alarm display" and Action FFB4/"Check the selected alarm status to "Checked" (Check)", or  FFB5/"Check all the alarm statuses to "Checked" (Check all)". After that add another action, but this time Action(Bit) and select what bit do you want to change in PLC and how.
