I have been searching for pinout for OMRON COM1A peripheral port. All the threads does not seem to have links to the PDF files. Would appreciate if you can provide the file for the pinout.

I am new to PLC and trying to learn how to work with PLC. I have an old CPM1A which I have taken apart to check the pinout but was not successful with communicating with the device. From the discussion you suggested one of the poster mention pins 3,5,7 and 10. Pins 3 and 5 seems like inputs and 7 is an output with 10 being ground. But I am not sure which is txd and rxd. I have tried to use USB TTL serial converter to connect to the CPM1A without success. I have also inverted the txd rxd signal but still unable to connect.
I have read many similar posting on mrplc site. However, all the links are no clickable. I have also tried to copy the links but they end up in file not found. That is the reason why I posted this help message.
Maybe the peripheral adaptor PDF would be helpful but I am not able to get a working link to that file.

Good job! You can also connect PLC Omron to Wincc Flexible by Cx-server in the similar way.

Have you connected the real CJ PLC?, you should check the connection between Cx-OPC server and PLC. If that connection ok, you can see OMRON.OpenDataServer.1 in Local.

Dear all! I'm using the meter EM368-C to measure the energy in my factory. And i want to communicate this meter to PLC Omron CPL1H with Modbus. I am finding out how i do it. I have read the manual of the meter (attached file). That manual describe how to set the parameters for communication and address of registers. I don't know how to read the value of the registers. Do you have any document describe more detail for modbus communication? Or Do you have the sample program about modbus communication? Please help me! I appreciate your supports! em368_user_manual.pdf

Hi All. I want to calculate the value of the DM in PLC Omron CP1H, and then display that value on the text in cx-supervisor. I'm using the cx-supervisor 3.0. I don't know how to do that. I'm very appriciate for your help

When you install the software CX one and then you can see the cx dirve install too. cx drive is very easy to use. I think you can do it, The important thing is the cable which you use to connect to PC
