  1. Ethernet Information

    Where'd ya find that antique?
  2. Red Lion's DSP (Data Station Plus) and the entire Crimson line of MHI can do Protocol conversions and I'm told now has a OPC-UA server in it. Maple Systems HMIs can host tags to it's internal modbus TCP server or you can license it's OPC or MQTT service on them. Allen Bradley's Micrologix 1400 Ser. B can read Modbus TCP and then your Controllogix can read from it. VTscada can output a tag from one device into another without scripting. Once, long ago I scripted one tag to output to another in FactoryTalk View SE based on rate of change. Click PLCs can be read via Ether/IP assemblies from Allen-Bradley PLCs and presumably most other PLCs that support Ether/IP Assembly I/O.
  3. Kinetix 5700 Inverter Fault

What is the Full Load amp set at in the inverter?
  4. Ethernet Information

Remember to use channel 1 and configure the Multihop Check where it says 500CPU Read and scroll to Select CIP Generic Then Change the Service to Read Assembly
  5. Ethernet Information

I use a bit from the S4 so It doesn't require a timer when doing assembly reads. xic s4/12 msg ....
  6. Ethernet Information

Manual is at https://www.keyence.com/mykeyence/downloadFromDLList?downloadAssetId=AS_105751&downloadZipFlag=0 Registration is required. The applicable information starts at page 59 Flow rate is on word 4 of instance 100. Those are 16 bit words so your data type would be N (micrologix) or INT (contrologix) . The decimal point will not be present so you'll have to shift it according to how many decimal points you set up in KV Studio on the unit. devices can be made to function *almost* like an I/O connection on EtherNet/IP by using CIP Generic "Read Assembly" and "Write Assembly" message (MSG) instructions in a MicroLogix 1100 Since you'll be reading the assebly 100 with a MSG block you'll have to setup a trigger to create a i/o cycle for it. I suggest XIC s4/12
  7. Rslogix 500

I had one that did that, it's some weirdo error in rsLinx walk off for ten minutes then when you click switch to it should finish up and work.
  8. CompactLogix Controllers

Also that's not a picture file.
  9. EEPROM PLC's

Slow brown outs to nothing will wipe a micrologix that runs off AC power. Which is why I've switched to the 24vdc units.
  10. Frozen Analog Input on Compact Logix

sounds like the v+ line dropped
  11. Why "RMS" Analog Input?

Just don't run AC through that analog card input.
  12. Advice on choosing a PLC for a project

And your ethernet switch is too close to the PLC for proper heat dissipation.
  13. Sounds like someone wrote a custom block for a feed forward PID loop. Is this a wastewater plant?
  14. Wonderware is pretty much bloatware at this point. Unless you're project cover an entire state or country.
  15. You're not going to get anywhere with this approach. The Phoenix Device is not connected to the micrologix bus.
  16. Network Number Problem

Just to think in this day and age neither device had a Auto MDI-X port.
  17. Hmi screen for controllogix

Maple systems has IP and NEMA ratings
  18. PowerFlex 40 - F081 Plc Resoulution

WHat comm cable are you using? If it's ethernet I've seen alot of noise problems and switched to using ToughCable pro from ubiquiti in any 3ph environment. Cut it right out.
  19. Modbus Addressing In Hmi Weintek

uh huh, and what sensor? Have you gotten anywhere on wiring it up to the HMI? which model?
  20. Set the Network Address The module ships with the rotary switches set to 999 and BOOTP enabled. You can set the network Internet Protocol (IP) address three ways. • Use the rotary switches on the top of the module. • Use a BOOTP server or Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server, such as Rockwell Automation BOOTP/DHCP. • Use the Rockwell Automation RSLinx or RSLogix 5000 software.
  21. Hmi screen for controllogix

    Maple systems
  22. PLC Not fast enough?

Zelio's are really only good for temporary pump control.
  23. Do-More Designer

I'm not up on the Do-More PLC's. Used one once, Liked the Click's better. Heck, I like them better than the micrologix. Other than that give me some compactlogix love. But check with these guys,  https://forum.automationdirect.com/forum/general-applications/do-more-series-plc
  24. Dude, slow that rate down, your updates are almost faster than the human eye can see a light strobe! Do you really need 20 updates a second for display?
  25. PLC DELTA

well that's not good. Looks like the original programmer locked the PLC so it won't let you retrieve the program. Usually, the type of programmer that does this keeps really good records so as long as he's alive and reachable he's probably just sitting around waiting for a cash windfall. Call him up!
