  1. RSLogix 5000

Did you reboot after the install?
  2. RSLogix Project Migrator

I've had better results copying the rungs via copy and paste.
  3. You need a converter to go from TTL to rs485. There's a voltage difference that could potential cause damage to cheaper equipment. This is specifically made for what you're doing. uxcell 5V MAX485/RS485 Module TTL to RS-485
  4. Open The Door and switch the switch to Remote [REM]. PLC is most likely in run.
  5. It's not in the menu on the hmi, I had to use SoMove to find the value to change. Even then that was a Run CMD by Network. I think this is exactly why most VFD's are controlled in Hand or by PLC/DCS
  6. High Pass / Low Pass Filter Knowledge

I'd like to know the application. There are differences in how you would use those depending if it's radio, telecom, cablecom, dsl, or even docsis cable.
  7. ML1400 AB_ETH_TCPIP DHCP MSG Help

MSG command is for PLC to PLC not PLC to HMI
  8. Programming cable

Just use which ever of these will fit between the usb to serial converter and the HMI.     Null Modem Adapter Male to Female  Null Modem Adapter Female to Female Null Modem Adapter Male to Male
  9. WeinTek to AB PLC Issues

Did you create the missing Datatypes?
  10. Easy builder pro - PLC No response

Generally it's either a firewall issue or on occasion I've had the simulator not close and had to manually terminate the application from task manager.
  11. Download problem for OP-320 A HMI

Just use which ever of these will fit between the usb to serial converter and the HMI.     Null Modem Adapter Male to Female  Null Modem Adapter Female to Female Null Modem Adapter Male to Male
  12. wire duct cutters

I use a 14" Chop saw from harbor Freight for the duct, cover, and din rail. I debur the din rail with a 6" bench grinder.
  13. Managed vs unmanaged switch

Managed switches should not be necessary unless there are reason to not physically separate the controls network from the Regular use network in the organization.
  14. Data Type should be INT But if it works leave it be.
  15. It's just verifying that the processor named ML1200 is the one you want to load with the project bearing the processor name parosonr.
  16. Ohh, fun ahead, since the 1500 uses compactlogix cards and the 1400 uses regular micrologix cards.
  17. Shielded Ethernet Cable

Ubiquiti ToughCable  Getting a neat termination is a bit rough so I recommend you get some 3/4" marine grade shrink tube to both seal out moisture and pretty it up.
  18. Best 24VDC Power Supply

I've been using The Rhino PSB series from http://www.automationdirect.com but I only like the metal cased ones. I don't much like the PSC series as they are wicked wide and have tiny terminals.
  19. Light SCADA request

I'd consider VTscada from Trihedral Engineering
  20. SIMPLE SCADA

VTscada has a 50 tags free version.
  21. software information

The Project Migrator has several flaws You'll have to verify every timer, pid, and hope nobody tried to move multiple input cards data into n files using cop
  22. There are Function Block Diagrams for that.
  23. Analog Wiring

I wouldn't think it was necessary to use shielded cable for that length unless there is a great deal of High voltage 3 phase or such right on top of it. Most Companies use BLUE for DC+  wiring some also use it for the negative side but many use grey.  I wouldn't use black outside of a shielded cable because alot of companies use black for H1 [incoming L1 from outside the panel to the breakers and such].
  24. Newby mistakes

RSlogix Micro does not support SLC500's You'll need RSlogix500 [which is out of development, possibly not for sale].
  25. The Cable I use for this I got from https://www.theautomationstore.com/allen-bradley-slc-500-programming-cable-usb-to-dh485-1747-uic/
