  1. Multiple PLC's

Hello all! I'm going to be integrating a conveyor style machine that will consist of 3 separate cells, each with their own PLC (317 PN/DP) driving them. On the conveyor I will have an RFID reader/writer at each individual station reading/writing to a tag on a pallet that rides on the conveyor. My big question here is I'm going to need to share some information between all of the PLC's, what is the best route of messaging in Siemens? Thanks in advance!
  2. I have a application where i'm looking at using some data logging in a AB L43 processor with a PV+ 700. Instead of using force vs time i want to use force vs position! I know that force vs time can be done with trending in Factory Talk but i haven't seemed to find out a way to use position instead of time. I was starting to think of possibly writing a Excel macro to pull in the data from the PLC but i feel like there could be an easier way than using a macro in excel. I guess basically i am just looking for some opinions on what could very well be my best option to save time and money.
  3. I am using a PanelView 600 and an L32E Processor. Recently the time has changed due to Daylight Savings Time. My PanelView is now an hour ahead. How would i go about getting this time to sync up with the new time? And also so it does this automatically at the next time change?
  4. Siemens CP5511 PCMCIA Card

Everytime I install the drivers for a Siemens CP5511 PCMCIA card, it assigns an Interrupt Request (IRQ) value from Windows of 19. As the only five IRQ values acceptable are all below 15, including those that are already utilized by devices within the configuration of my machine, I'd be curious as to why Windows is assigning it such a value.
  5. Communication SFC's and SFB's

Looking for some help regarding the LEN parameter for SFB 60 in S7? This is suppose to be the length (in bytes) of data that is being sent, correct? I am pretty sure that i have the correct length in bytes that i'm inputing but it keeps telling me that it's an incorrect length! Any thing that i may have overlooked or need to take into account that i have not??
