  6. EZ-Touch to C More Conversion

Hello I beleive the last version for conversion was 3.1. You may have to use an older version that was sold by Automation Direct. In the past I was lucky enough to be able to upload the programs from the touch screen, with an earlier version of the sortware then convert it. The following is from the Help File of C-More. C-more is designed to convert any EZTouch project created in EZTouch Edit version 3.1a. It is simple to convert your existing EZtouch projects in the C-more Programming Software environment. To convert an EZTouch project to a C-more Project, follow these steps: From the C-more main application screen, select Start a Project on the Quick Project Toolbar. In the Step 1 window, select Read from Disk. In the Select Project Location, Browse for and select the location of EZTouch Project folder: typically C:\Project Files\EZTouch\Project. From the drop down list, select the EZTouch project ( .ezt file ) you would like to convert. Select OK. C-more will take a few seconds to a few minutes to convert the project depending on the project size. Your project is ready to edit, simulate or send to your C-more panel. Note: Your EZTouch files are not altered. The C-more Programming Software converts them to one file that is save as a .eap file the next time you save your project. If you would like maybe post the project and someone with earlier version might be able to convert it. But it does not always work I am told. Tom

  10. H4-CTRIO EDGE RESET question

CTRIO Card Info.txt Hello I have the file but its to big to post so i will do it in a couple posts. I to found the faster the trim press ran I would loose pulses. I orginally started with the reset from the software then moved to the Proximity sensor to reset. And works great. The reset was tied to input C on the CTRIO card. Putting it in a card on the base would not given fast enough responce. Have A Good Day Tom CTRIO Card Info.txt
  11. H4-CTRIO EDGE RESET question

If I am reading you correcrly, you are using a Automation Direct CTRIO card and counting the pulses of an encoder for positioning? I had a project where I used a CTRIO card on a trim press to monitor the 360 degree rotation of a fly wheel. I used a proximity switch and triggered on the leading edge to reset the counter to zero. I also had to change the presets on the fly, for this I used the IBox CTRIO Edit Preset Table Entry and Reload. I have examples of what I done if needed. Regards Tom
  12. I have an application that is used to control temperatures of a thermoformer. I am using a 205 PLC with a 260 processor. I am having a problem with the temperature modules with erratic temperature readings. The thermocouples are located on the heating element its self (calrod heater) and the heaters are located in drawers that slide into the machine with mating plugs. I am using twisted shielded pair K-type thermocouple cable and used grounded and ungrounded thermocouples. I have grounded the heaters, and applied the jumpers as in the manual. Using data view monitoring the raw value before any averaging I see jumps as high as 10 - 20 degrees F. We run a number of thermoformers of the same type using AB PLCs or Eurotherm temperature controllers with no problems. Any and all suggestions appreciated.
