  1. Hello! I am trying to concat a string that includes some special characters. I have attached an image of the ST i have written. I do not know how to type the "RS" Record Separator, "GS" Group Separator, and "EOT" End of Transmission. I have tried converting the hexidecimal equvilent but have not had any luck that way. In the upper black box i have included the string that i am trying to generate. in the lower black box i have the string that was made from the ST. Thank you!
  2. Recipe

Thank you for reading and for any help provided! Project I have a 14 station conveyor line that will be for assembly of an automotive interior console. Each station will be adding components to the console and installing fasteners if the component requires it. Each station will have generic code that will search in the EM0 memory area for a component and what functions are required for that component. When no more components are required at that station the station is complete and console transfers to the next station. This portion is required by the customer to allow any component to be installed at any station of the line. I have all of that working properly by manually putting the data into the EM0 memory area trough CX-Programmer. Now I need to setup a recipe entry to get the data from an NS-15 or PC running Indusoft. This is where my problem comes into play. I need some way to assemble the recipe then transfer to the PLC. Here is an example of the data. I have tried different approaches using data blocks in CX-Designer but i really need a better way of entering the data. The Data Block for my recipe would be one huge line and would span almost 100 columns. What I would really like to have is something more like the spread sheet i have in the example. If you look at the memory address i have attached to each cell. I have a specific offset for each component and the component attributes. This is how I handle it when i do the lookup from the PLC program. I look at the first component if it matches the recipe im currently running then i look at the station if it matches then i use the component else i offset to the next component and check for the station number and i do this until i run out of components at that station.
