  1. Great Thanks Ken. I am pretty sure that my my IP configuratoins are the same in design and runtime, however, I never did check the box that replaces the communications on download, so there is a good chance this is it. I will check this out tommorrow morning and let you know. Thanks for the help, it could save my delivery.
  2. I am using a crossover cable between the ML1400 and PV1000. I am programming with Factory Talk View Stuido ME release 5.10.00 cpr9 spr2. How do I check the firmware, this is labeled on the PV somewhere? It is a new product so I assumed everything was current. Thank You
  3. Hi, I am having a hard time communicating between a new Micrologix 1400 and a New Panelview Plus 1000 through a straight thru (crossover) Ethernet connection. I set the IP address in the micrologix (169.254.70.39) in the program itself and set the IP address on the panelview (169.254.70.40) through the application settings. Both have the same Subnet 255.255.0.0 I am able to see both components individually on my PC when I set up the device shortcuts in the RS Enterprise communications (thru ethernet). I am able to test the Panelview application on my PC. When I connect the (2) components I am getting ERROR messages all over the screen. Any idea's what I am missing? I have done this before with ML 1100's successfully. Thank You
  4. I am new to AB panelview plus HMI's. My basic question is about what software I need to program the panel for a basic standalone application. Is this the Factory Talk View ME? Can anyone give me a rough list price for this? Thanks
  5. Hello, I am new to Allen Bradley PLC's and would like to know if anyone has an opinion on what software to use for programming Micrologix controllers (1100/1400). I understand you can use the RSLOGIX 500 and a new RSLOGIX micro. My programming is fairly simple, however, I will be using numerous PID (4-6) loops in my programs. If anyone has any insight into this it would be appreciated. Thank You
  6. Great that is all i need to know. Thanks!
  7. While looking at the specs on the Micro 1100, I noticed the ethernet is messaging only. Can someone tell me what this means in basic terms? I was hoping to use the ethernet port to connect directly to a HMI for a user to monitor and control the process. Any help would be great. Thanks!
  8. Hello, I am looking at the FX3U PLC and wanted to get some feedback on your experiences with the PID function. Specifically how many loops can be run simultaneously? How are the Mitsubishi temperature input cards? I had some bad experiences with another PLC in which the RTD and TC cards were severely affected by external noise coming from a VFD. Is there any type of input filter on these input cards? Thanks for any feedback. Tyson
