  1. Its a 5/03, not 5/01. Its filling 11:20,21, 24,25,26,27,28,29 only. There has to be something stupid I am missing. I changed the protection of the file to static, that should help narrow it down.
  2. I have a CMore connected to a SLC 5/01 via the DH485 connector and about once a week I get a bunch of crazy integers loaded into some registers that cause a fault due to these registers being used as pointers for indirect addressing. I have also had some problems with this system where momentary bits get stuck on. We have many systems using Cmore panels and SLCs or Compactlogixs and have never seen this issue before. Any ideas? I tried swapping out the CMore and it does not fix it. There is nothing in the logic that would cause this to happen, I have spent hours looking and have 15 years of programming experience (not that I couldn't miss something, just sayin) My next step is to try using the RS232 port and cable, but that will make remote modem support a little more of a hassle since I need that port for the modem. Thanks! The attachment shows the screwy values starting at N11:20
  3. New productivity 3000?

I have been playing with the software, and its impressive. Tag based addressing, indirect addressing, 2 dimensional arrays, etc. All the stuff I have been relying on RsLogix for, now if I can find a positioning drive for it...
  4. New productivity 3000?

Anybody try one of these? Anybody have any ideas on a postioning drive it might play nice with?
  5. I finally got a new laptop, a Dell Vostro 1000, and I can't get its modem to negotiate a connection with 9300-RADKIT modems. It will work fine with US Robotics modems, and also RADES ethernet modems. Anybody have any ideas? I am stumped and I haven't managed to get the time to play with AB customer support yet, and its something to do with my modem so I expect a brush off. I have tried resetting the modem to factory defaults with no luck. It won't even connect using Hyperterminal.
  6. I particularity like it when you are an OEM building a system for a customer, and the software license was purchased under the customer's name but with your money and Techconnect won't talk to you. Its fun trying to get the customer to provide their authorization number to you. And this always happens when you are running on your last straw at about 11pm at night trying to get the thing polished off. Too bad their PLC software works so well. Their other software is another story though, I have never seen a more tiresome product to work with as their Factory Talk View, its like its not even made by the same company. We only use it when forced to by our customers.
  7. I am looking alternatives other than AB that is as easy to use as RsLogix5000. Specifically, does anyone have comparable software that is as easy to use and can use pointers for muli-dimensional arrays? And, have hardware pricing comparable to Compactlogix? I am frustrated with Rockwell and their draconian customer support. All the other software I have experimented with has been pretty basic and clunky compared with RSLogix5000, but I have a hard time believing someone doesn't make something comparable. Just need a little direction which way to look.
  8. RSLogix500 "Key"

I used to keep using the EMOVE with usb drives until I had an issue with it, and then got the dongle and have had zero problems. The dongle is really convenient. I am surprised you haven't had problems with the 3.5 disk, those things seemed to go bad even if you stored them AND their drive in a vacuum sealed bag!
  9. AVG lawsuit?

Same here, love the C-More, I am replacing a couple EZ-Touch's at a customer and didn't want to have any future problems with replacements, I can't believe Automation Direct would enter into a contract without legal representation. Auto Direct's tech support is the best I have ever worked with.
  10. AVG lawsuit?

That's good info, we can't get an ez-touch to work for more than a few months before it fails, and if you call their tech support you are put on hold for 30 min and the call is then dropped!

  12. AVG lawsuit?

Has anybody heard about any progress in this? I don't want to change manufacturers only to find out they won't be able to provide any more product.
