  1. What to do with a FX-80MR

listed on ebay for 50 bucks. see item # 170565758494 Someone might find it useful.
  2. What to do with a FX-80MR

Hi, There does not seem to be one of those here, Just the PLC, an AC motor drive and lots of contactors and relays. It was a 1995 vintage MARK VII carwash. The frame, tracks and motors went to a scrap metal guy, I did not want to cut this thing apart. I'll sell the PLC and the dollar bill changer as it does not fit my soda machine, the rest I'll keep.
  3. What to do with a FX-80MR

I just gutted an old carwash and in it was a FX-80MR PLC. I know absolutely nothing about these. I do have one machine with a AB SLC-500 which I am (slowly) working on rewriting the programming for it. So what can I do with this Mitsi? I'm thinking, sell it, (ebay) and see if someone else can put it to use. Most of the electronics are dated 1994 or 1995 in this thing. Does it program anything like an Allen Bradley? Or would trying to use this just confuse the heck out of me.
  4. Press Die Safety

If it is not a press problem, what series 500 are you running? 5/01, 5/02....etc. The higher series do scan faster. Or maybe you need to go over your ladder and see if you can optimize it to make it scan fast. Rookie suggestions from a rookie programmer.
  5. Anybody knows?

To see what used items are worth sign into Ebay and search for your items, then check the box "completed items" and see which ones sold and for how much. This gives you recent real world numbers and not some prices from a book or catalog.
  6. If this thread does exist sorry, I could not find it. But I would like to see a short history of AB PLC's from the earliest to the latest. I'm a newbie but I believe it's something like this PLC 5 SLC 500 contologix Compact Logix Is that correct? did I miss any? I have one SLC 500 that I'm trying to get to run my Brown and Sharpe surface grinder, but that's another post. I am learning alot just lurking about here. Thanks
