  1. scale 0-20000 using 4-20mA input suing SCL(194)

    Hi Sorry for omitting so much CJ1M CPU13 Using a AD081-V1 card, resolution = 8000 signal is a 4-20mA input, I want it to be 0-20000 scaled stored in a DM location. I tried using SCL, Which is what Omron suggests to use to do scaling on this Card, but to no avail Thanks!

  3. I am weighing my idea of buying a 200$+ universal signal conditioner VS building a small op amp to linearly scale a 0-100mV to 0-10V PLC signal which is to be read by my CJ1M CPU13, MAD42 card. I have not ever built a OP amp before for use inside a contorl cabinet, is it a good idea? Coud someone give me some direction, caveats etc.? I was going to simply buy a monolithic IC OP amp, the correct resistors, and a couple of voltage regulators (BIASing) and hope for the best! Does The MAD42 have any hidden capabilites to perform this already?

    Ok, I can honestly say that the first portion of the prev. question was a big mistake, I was generating those 3 files when I wrote to the PLC from the memory card. However, A simple FWRIT does not work for me, And I am getting frustrated, as I have been working on it for several hours. i have attached a screen shot of my simple fwrit

    The FWRIT function I have been using generates 3 files each time it it executed in the ladder: COMMENTS.CMT PROGRAMS.IDX SYMBOLS.SYM but not the csv I have tried to create? What Am I doing wrong? Cx Programmer version : 6.11 CJ1M CPU13 PLC. FWRIT specs: C: %3010 D1: D10000 D2: D10004 S: D50 thanks!

    Hi I am setting up a Modbus RTU RS485 network, I have a few simple questions: 1. Should I use DeviceTap modules to daisy chain the 7 nodes in my network? otherwise I was going to use standard M4/6's. 2.If my sensors are being described as 2 wire RTU 485 Modbus, will my Omron CJ1M SCU41 card handle them correctly after I have given the card the RTU protocol? 3.A cheap place to buy a usb-rs485 converter to use with ModSCAN32? 4. Is Modscan32 the best /easiest way for a beginner to set-up my network? Thank you in advance! Collin
