I'm presuming that in the S5 window you have tried drop down 'Management', 'Make Xref' <F5>, this should create a xref file. If there is an existing cross reference in your program folder I believe it should take the form @@@@@@xr.ini. It will not load from the plc it has to be compiled from the program file on your pc.

Hi, On the UK A & D website 'The Probe' part no. starts 7ML1201-..... The next 3 figures define the configuration you need and are followed by two zeros. The website has a built in configurator for this purpose. Hope this helps.

I had not heard anything about this but while on the A&D Service and Support website this morning there is a new folder under Modular Automation Systems CPUs called S7-1200. I remembered your post. The folder is 'redded' out and entry is not permitted. Anyone heard anything else about this? Is this to pique curiosity by Siemens?

I've had this problem with an IP246, it's the same for IP266, and found this answer on Siemens website: ANSWER: The SIEMENS converter cable (V.24-TTY converter) with MLFB no. 6ES5 734-1BD20 requires 5.2V at the AS511 interface. This supply voltage is not provided by the IP 246. Remedy: Use the Köster Box or a similar adapter that provides an external power supply. The Köster Box can be ordered from the following company: KÖSTER Systemtechnik GmbH Hope this helps. Oeger Straße 65 D-58642 Iserlohn Tel.: +49 (0) 2374 9370-0 Fax.: +49 (0) 2374 9370-44 One word of warning I was using a pc not a pg. May be worth double checking with Siemens that it is the same for pg. Hope this helps.

Hi Dugmick - Not sure what the missing software is but if you open the project in Step7, highlight the project name and then enter the <Edit> menu and <Object Properties> you can check for required software packages. Click the tag and press <Execute>. Takes a little time but should tell you Type ID and Version required. Hope this helps.
