  1. They brought B&R into a single project, and multiple engineers could not make the B&R product work.

    I like to think that Omron is past that point, and that a user can simply reach out for a competent answer, or reach out on mrplc.com or plcs.net and get a great answer from someone like you.

    Thank you for the information.

    I was not aware that we were planning on releasing such a product. It will fill a definite gap in our product line.

    I just helped an integraor start up a job with 40 MX2s on Devicenet, along with 5 CompoNet masters, and 12 NS HMIs. Fun project.

    On a different topic, I got a week of hands on training this week on the new automation controller, the NJ5. Have you gotten a chance to see this product yet? Very impressive.

    I saw your reply on MX2 programming. I am teaching this topic to a group of distributor application engineers next week.

    I have just started working with the Text programming. I find text easier than flowchart, and the conversion back and forth between the 2 languages is nice feature.

    Do you have a real world example that I could share in class? All I have are labs ...

    I had a very frank discussion with a very competent and engineering oriented Omron distributor who signed up B&R as a new line, invested a lot of money in training and demo hardware, and then dropped B&R like a hot potato.

    They claim the B&R engineers are (and I quote) 'Hitler youth'. Brainwashed in the product line, and young, dumb, and, well, nevermind. ...
