Tanks for the replays the unit I got is a part number 1747-L40 C/F is fixet unit and this model not have a batery

I desperade need to factory reset an SLC500

this is the metod I use for diameter the sensor is ulrasonic whit analog out put and the type of sensor I personaly preferd are the ones that you can program whit a coputer and software plase the sensor pointed to the shaft and program this distance as you min.distance or "0" volts output from the sensor if you want a final diameter of 20" program you max. distance or "10" volts output from the sensor at 10 inches and not forgot the core diameter. this way if the material rolls increase in you core the out put voltaje on the sensor increase in the same proportion Doc1.doc

If I move a "0" to the acc, the bits(DN,EN. etc.) change state?

just by curiosidy what are the FRN in you 1747 UIC is this an 1.0 or 1.3 I ask this because I got the same problem whit one of mi 1747 UIC

I got 2 1747 UIC converters the difrences are une is FNR 1.0 and the new is FNR 1.3,whit the old one I got no problem to comunicte mi pc whit any PLC or PV but whit the new one I can see the driver but not the divice (PLC or PV ) did some one know if the are a difreances in drivers I use the 31/2 dissket to instal drivers on each one and can not make the new to work

well I use this metod to control tencion in relation to diameter and is very simple and acuret I well look for the codes and posted leater

way don't use an analog sensor (ultrasonic,lasero or similar) and use the core as you refereance or "0" diametrer as you increase the diameter the distance betuine the core and the sensor decrease because the material rolls and this dist X 2 =diameter

tri to us the 1747 UIC this is a USB to DH+ converter is like 10 compact than the pic driver and cheaper in prise I got the same probelm before and also if you tri to use the RS232 port you need to delete the port on devise management window and re boot the PC the AB knowledge base recommends to uninstall o unroll some drivers but this is not a good idea because doing this some how delete some of the battery drivers (on lap top)this is my personal expirense so for my the best soluton is buy the 1747 UIC

on the micrologix 1200 ther are 2 trim pots one side of the chanel 0 comunicatin port did some one now the funcion of this trim pots?

Kevin:did you try a remote conection to the PLC? I in el Paso TX.area and a crazy idea came to mi head may be une of the person in this forum is near to you customer than you so this person can go to see you custemer and fix the problem if we consider the main prioriti is the customer servise this can be a fast solution?

did you try to conect to the PLC via moden?

I fix mi problem the 1747UIC is the problem I use an oder one and it work fine
