  1. CJ1M IO Table

Hi, I was wondering if it is possible in a CJ1M (CPU11 v4 or CPU12 v4) that I can determing what units are used in the IO Table. What I want is this: for some "service screens" in my HMI I want to display a representation with all the Dig. In and Dig. Out. (See Pic) For the used analoge inputs it isn't a problem, I can check wich input was used just by loking at the hardware address. The digital in- and output cards don't have hardware addresses but when used it showns in the Symbols list under Rack Location and Usage. Is there a way I can read those values?? Carol
  2. NTXS - NT3S

Hi Freka, NTXS is a royal pain in the ***, but there's no alternative. If you got the errormessage 'System tag cannot be deleted', I think that you're trying to delete some tags more then the ones you've created. System tags inherent to the display and can not be deleted. Tags you've created and used in a screen can also not be deleted, but then you get an errormessage that says that the tag(s) are being used in a screen and henced cannot be deleted. Hope that this helps you somewhat. Carol
  3. CPU RUN MODE

PMCR thanks, I'll look in to it, see if this is applicable in our applications. Carol
  4. CPU RUN MODE

PMCR if the PLC changes mode it is from Monitor-mode to Run-mode. How would such a FINS command look like? pfort Since the PLC changes state as described above, such a flag will do no good. In Monitor-mode as well in Run-mode this flag will be true. Carol
  5. CPU RUN MODE

PdL, the PLC is by default set in Monitor-mode and every now and then it will change to Run-mode, this happens with a few PLC's on different locations. These PLC's are programmed for telemetry purposes such as pupmpcontrolling. (sometimes combined with rain-measerument.) A central post will recieve all data and resets the counters to zero at midnight.(Rain, electric consumption, starts and runtimes) But when the PLC is in Run-mode, this command will not be executed. The central post will still collect the data, only now the data is cumulative. So the question remains: is there a way (a flag in ladder / or some system-bit) to determine in wath mode the PLC currently is. Then it would be possible to take action; when the central post reads the on/off state of such a flag it can send a command to push the PLC in Stop-mode and then restart the PLC.(this is now done manualy, once whe noticed the wrong Operating-mode) When the PLC is restarted it is in Monitor-mode again, as it should be. Hope this make any sense, Carol
  6. CPU RUN MODE

Hi PDL, reading this topic I thought it might solve a problem that occurs from time to time with our PLC's. We're using CJ1m CPU11 or CPU 12 and a NT3S is connected on the peripheral port, on the RS232 port is a GPRS-device connected. The settings for the PLC's are "Monitor-mode" because we're executing commands over GPRS (i.e. Reset counters or changing values). But some PLC's will change to Program-mode from time to time and then it will no longer respond to commands. Is there a way to check in what mode the PLC is and if necessary correct this? Thanks, Carol
  7. Magelis

Hi PDL, thanx for the explanation. We're using for the discrete signals addresses up from 50.00. These are called "IO-bit" by Omron, but they aren't in the display variable list. On the other hand in the display variable list is a type "IR" and this isn't to find in the Omron list. Is it save to assume that the right choice would be "....", because there's a "W" in both lists? Making any sense...? Carol
  8. Magelis

Hi, how should I declare variables in Vijeo-Designer for an Omron CJ1M? The HMI will be connected to the mini-peripheral port. I thought I must use Sysmac FINS (SIO) - CS1 Link (See 1driver.jpg) When I want to declare a new variable, I must choose from a list (see 2address.jpg) I don't know what all these letters stand for, so if anyone have some pointers for me, Carol
  9. *.ypm File type

Hi, a little Google shows that an *.ypm probably is an Yellow Page Media file???? The search-engine FILExt doesn't know *.ypm, but they offer some help in the search for further clues. 1) Use the context of the file... Where a file is located, how it was obtained, and the file's date and time can all be used as clues to the nature of the file. Consider these tips... Where and how did you get the file? Where exactly is the file stored on your system? What were you doing when...? Perhaps you want to check this out: FILExt helppage good luck hunting Carol
  10. HMI simulator plctrainer.net

Perhaps is HMI simulator not the proper name for it, but it's sold by plctrainer.net under that name. This program has a few aplliciations (I think it's VB) wich communicates with the PLC. Having put the right program in the PLC, you can monitor and controll it with the Simulator app. Perhaps you should check this out on: PLCTrainer.net At this point I've put the program in the PLC, but I don't get it to communicate. Perhaps there's a different checksum by using GX IEC Developer, the program-example given by PLCTrainer is written in (I think) GX Developer or even an plder version. But this I've to check out, and having my vacation there should be plenty of time to do so. Carol
  11. HMI simulator plctrainer.net

Hi there, I've purchassed the HMI simulator from plctrainer.net for the Mitsubishi. I'm using GX IEC Developer 7 and a FX2N 32MR. Are there any others that have experience with this, I'm just looking for some feedback. Carol
  12. SC-09 Missing the "PET"

Hi there, a little question about the "Cable with a pet"[Cable SC-09], I'm missing the "pet". Does anyone knows if this part is sold seperatly? It would be a real downer if I have to buy the complete cable again. Thnx Carol
  13. Simultaor not working

Hi Edgar, it might be a problem with a Windows update or something with the windows register. Try a search for "simulator" in the Omron section, you're not the only one struggling with this problem. I tried the registry entry that was posted by anonymous (http://forums.mrplc.com/index.php?showtopic=11917&hl=simulator)and I've no further problems with the simulator. Hope this helps, carol
  14. Hi Powwer, I hope I got it right, I don't have the Twido software at home. But have you configured the port correctly for the purpose you want? Some time ago I had somewhat the same struggle, but I have to say that the Twido's online helpfile is very helpfull. If you can't get it right, please come back to me,'then I'll look it up. Carol
  15. Analog output not outputing.....

Hi NovalotionGSI, have you thought of turning ON the Conversion Enable Bit? Whitout this bit turned on there will be no output signal. This is described in section 5-6-2 5-6-3 Starting and Stopping Conversion (page 222) of the Manual Analog I/O Units (W345-E1-08) I've tried to uploaded it with this reply, but the pdf is to great. In the download section you can find another Manual: http://forums.mrplc.com/index.php?autocom=downloads&showfile=745 Search the document for Conversion Enable Bit Hope this get you on the road, Carol
