  1. Help Again

Hi again, Last time i hope, i was wondering if anybody could shed some light on to this question as i have searched every where for the answer. I need to comment on PLC network methods and standards, the question is i need to comment on master to slave & peer to peer networks.
  2. Examples

Thanks for the replies. I was wondering what other methods are there to program a PLC. There are only two that i can identify. Ladder Logic Grafcet Does anybody know any more. And maybe a link to them to show the advantages / disadvantages please.
  3. Examples

Hi, Could any body give me any examples where Binary Coded Decimal would be used in a typical application. I understand that they are used in counters, but need some more information or a link please. Sorry i have found information for this. Another example, could any body put me into the right direction for finding information on Mnemonic used on a PLC.
  4. Help Required

I am thankful for all the help that i receive.
  5. Help Required

Whats the point of having a forum if you can`t ask a question even if it is regarding homework question.
  6. Help Required

Just a question from it, why is that a problem.
  7. Help Required

Hi Forum, I was wondering if you could explain the following or give me some tips to complete the questions. An input module which is connected to a temperature transducer has a a/d with a 12 bit resolution. When the temperature transducer receives a valid signal from the process, (100 to 600 degrees). It provides via a transmitter a+1 to +5vdc signal compatible with the analogue input module. 1) Find the equivalent voltage change for each count change, the voltage change per degree celsius change and the equivalent number of counts per degree celsius assuming that the input module transforms the data into a linear 0 to 4095 counts. 2) Find the same values for a module with 10 bit resolution. 3) Draw a sketch, block diagram to show a basic configuration of this system, indicate the points on the diagram where the system variables. (Temperature / voltage / and digital count) would be present also show the viriable ranges.
  8. Advanced Functions

Could you please explain a litte more about these.
  9. Advanced Functions

Cheers guys, i have recently order yet another book from amazon.co.uk. Hopefully it will have every think i need.
  10. Advanced Functions

How can i identify elements associated with the preperartions of a plc program, for example coils counters and timers.
  11. Advanced Functions

Cheers Ken, will download and take a look at that later.
  12. Advanced Functions

Hi bob could you narrow it down because there are lots of pages to choose from.
  13. Me again, after one more bit of help for college . Could anybody point me in the right direction for the following. I need to give four functions are, less that, greater than, binary to BCD and PID control. I need to evaluate each of these functions in turn by giveing examples of how each would be used in a ladder logic programs. Also i need to state typical applicications for each advanced function. Regards Dave.
  14. Programming Help

Does it have any think to do with ladder logic ?
  15. Programming Help

    Will be expanding that, cheers.
