Hey all. I've talked to a few guys who have worked with Modicon for a good while and the standard answer I'm getting is "Sometimes that Modicon/ Modbus+ will tell you strange things that aren't really true". Great. Is this a common thing or just nusiance kinda thing. I mean every thing works so maybe no big deal. Any thoughts?

Hey guys. Pretty new to Modicon and I have a question. I'm wanting to install an additional NOM card on a network. When I take a look at the Traffic Cop in Pro worx Nxt, the rack I'm wanting to add too doesn't show the processor or any other com cards, only the power supply, an Ascii card, and two I/O cards. Is there anything I need to do to view the current cop status? When I look offline it tells me that the processor is not configured. I'm pretty sure the processor has to be configured to add a new card, so I'm stuck for the moment. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hey guys. Came into work to a panelview 1000 plus with a deeply scratched screen. Been here before and would really like not to pay for an entire screen just to get a touch panel. Anyone have/know of a source for this type of thing? Lots on ebay but all want to sell all or none. Thanks in advance.

Safety interlock is a safety interlock. No debate possible. Change to a light curtain and add a palm switch for quick activation.

Just a thought. Make sure these numerous power supplies have all been set to the right incoming supply. I"ve seen (done) that before and experienced very similar problems.

Are you simply wanting to delete all of the current program that is in the PLC?? If so, I believe you can select "NEW" program, connect to PLC, and Transfer a blank program to the PLC. Did this accidently one time, thank god for backups LOL.

Hello all. New here and looking for comments. Possible new job runs all equipment with RSLogix 500. All my experience has been with Omron Plcs. Anyone have any comments on differences or similarities between the two brands? Just trying to get an idea of what I'm might be in for. Thanks in advance for any replies. Looks like a great forum you guys have here.
