    Thanks
  2. CP342-5 DP Master

Hi there I have a S7-300 system with a CP342-5 DP card. My problem is that i need to read status from my devices if they are on the net work or not. Have used FC3 ( DP_DIAG ) and FB126_PNIODiag_V17, without any luck. Has anyone in this forum done something like this and how did you do it. Thanks
  3. Modbus

    Thanks
  4. Modbus

Hi there, does anyone here have a code example how send and receive data over Modbus. I am using the serial communication port on the PLC. Set to Modbus RTU Master. My hardware is a micrologix 1100. Kind regards CrazyDane
  5. Hi there. I have tried for one day to make a profibus communication between a contrologix and a S7 plc and I am really “Arrgh”. I am using a SST-PFB-CLX from woodhead as the master, and the Siemens S7 317-2 plc is the slave. Is there anyone in the forum, there had tried this before, and maybe give me a hint how to do this. Thanks.
  6. Thanks all, maybe i scud use a Panelview+ instead
  7. Hi there, can anybody help me, i want to cornect my Compact logix to a Siemens OP270 panel via E-net. Not sure, but Siemens has not yet made any drivers for this. Thanks CrazyDane
  8. Powermonitor 3000 To Ifix

Hi again, The problem has now been solved after speaking with Rockwell support once again. The issue was simply a wrong addressing format. Best regards CrazyDane
  9. I'm trying to establish a connection between an Allen-Bradley Powermonitor 3000 module and GE Fanuc iFIX SCADA system. The Powermonitor is equipped with an Ethernet connection which is used as the communication path. I've installed RSLinx Gateway 2.43 and I'm able to see the Powermonitor in RSWho. I'm also able to query data from the Powermonitor into Excel by use of a DDE link. I'm however unable to establish communication to iFIX. I've tried to read data by use of 3 different communication drivers from GE Fanuc (ABR, OPC, and IGS) without any luck. I've searched for advise on this issue in both Rockwell and GE Fanuc knowledgebase and I've talked to Rockwell support without getting any further. Rockwell however claims that this kind of communication (OPC) is possible. I am by the way aware of the knowledgebase article A56755524, which describes how to establish communication between Powermonitor 3000 and RSViewSE. This didn't get me any further. If someone has any experience regarding this issue, I'll would very much like to hear about it. Best regards CrazyDane
  10. DP / PA coupler

Hi, I have a DP / PA coubler ( 6ES7-157-0AC82-0XA0 ) that I woud like to insert to my profibus network. My questions is: Do i need to have a GSD file for this component, and if i need one where can i find it. Or do I just put in my PA nodes on the network, and then the networs can findout that there is a DP / PA coupler on the network. Merry Christmas CrazYdanE
  11. Communications problem

Thanks for yours reply's. The network is rather big. There are sitting a lot of SLC's 5/05. See the Word doc. The system doesn't tell me about any conflicts on the net. Rockwell in Denmark knows about this problem, and are working on it. They will pu in a "Sniffer" on the network. /CrazyDanE Net.doc
  12. Hey, A litte hardware storie first. PLC : 1756-L61 Control logix V15, communicating via 1756-ENBT A ver. 3.9 Ifix : Version 3,5, Driver Igs ( The newest ) dont remember the version. GE Quick panel: QP Control 12” TFT RS-linx 2.50 The Ifix and the control logix is sitting in the same switch. The Quick panel is cornectet to the Internet and communicate by a VPN cornection. The Control logix is communicating whit the Quickpanel and Ifix The Quick panel is communicating whit Ifix and the Control logix. After a while the cornection whit the PLC and the Quickpanel stops ( only 8 floating points are transfered between the Quick panel and the control logix ). “The while can be between 1 – 14 days” The funny part is that it is impossible to go online (by RS-linx ) on the control logix 1756-ENBT A card, but the Ifix can still se the control logix, and read - write data to the plc. It is also impossible to browse the web server on the 1756-ENBT A. It is like som gates in the ethernet card 1756-ENBT A is getting closed. By removing the card from the rack, and put it back in, then the communications begin again. I have tryed to replace the card, using different firmwares ect.. Please – I am really lost Thanks Crazydane
