Ben, if you have any software that monitor IC port, bluetooth or a mobile phone software that can do damage, like the Nokia 6230i software on my laptop with WinXP SP2 did (same thing as you have). try to minimise the number of backgroud programs that resides in system tray and other that you don't need all the time. You should install SP2 don't think it would do any harm. regards

We have computers in domain here in the firm. I've found in CX-Simulator 1.6 Operation Manual that the application can access CX-Simulator from network, but on the computer running CX-Simulator FinsGateway is needed. I've installed it but have no ideas what next since in both manuals there isn't much. Anyone done it before? Thanks for your reply.

Had the same problem yesterday at the same time. strange... i went through endless repair of cx-one 1.1 installation and when i tried to go online CX-P says the same PLC IO Table error etc. the same as with BEN. but then i've opened CX-Server Driver Mgt Tool from Control Panel and found nothing. there wasn't any driver installed. I pressed the Add button and in CX-Server\drivers folder in installation of CX-One found all drivers. i installed one by one. i think it can't be done manually only by activating setup.exe. it has to be done through CX-Server Driver Mgt Tool. After that everything works fine without any errors. Hope this is usefull to anyone. Regards.

But, as the time goes by there is more and more bugs which wasn't the case in earlier versions. this time, when i try to customize Data Log window and save it as session file, it never opens in a way I put customization but in some default way - regarding size and position of window, background color which is red (?), grid color which is orange (?)etc. and it never accepts my settings when you close and open data log window. Maybe this is the case only with me? regards to all

I have to do the same thing, i'm in belgrade, plc is in amsterdam. need to change the program and send it to the customer. i found the following in the manual: CPU Unit Ver. 2.0 or Later Summary With CS/CJ-series CPU Unit Ver. 2.0, the user program can be automatically transferred to the CPU Unit at power ON without a parameter file (.STD) if the name of the program file (.OBJ) is changed to REPLACE.OBJ on the CX-Programmer and the file is stored on a Memory Card. If data files are included with the program file using this function, the following data file names are used: REPLACE.IOM, REPLCDM.IOM, REPLCE@.IOM. Note 1. If the Memory Card contains a REPLACE.OBJ file, any parameter file on the Memory Card will not be transferred. 2. If the Memory Card contains both a REPLACE.OBJ file and a AUTOEXEC. OBJ file, neither will be transferred. I really hope this will work. regards.

yes it is free. you sould register on their software download site by entering valid serial numbers of purchased pieces of software. for CX-S 1.3 upgrade, you need valid serial of any CX-S 1.x regards

Good idea of one member here to pay attention on omron's sofware. i would like just to drive attention of users, that CX-Designer doesn't allow to copy data from Edit Properties window (which is usually used for group edit) at all. it offers some basic Excel functionality (it can increment numbers in cells etc) but it ain't work with text. NS-Designer had the ability to copy data from Change Settings at Once window into Excel and vice versa. Why did they remove this functionality?? make them to go back things as it they were before (only regarding this Excel feature, the rest is great). desperate.

You don't have to buy a new CX-Supervisor. If you have legal copy of any CX-Supervisor 1.x the serial will work. You can downoload it at Omron's FTP site for IDS, if you are an IDS (independent distributor sales). If not you should contact your local dealer. regards.

nguyenthanhcanh, i think there is no upgrade, at least i don't have it and i can not find anywhere. you have to download full version of CX-Supervisor 1.22(9) there is a patches from that versions towards above. regards.

But it also works as upgrade for CX-Supervisor 1.25. One thing I've noticed, when you use latin letters as a value for text point, e.g. txtTesting = "čćžšđ" script compiler alerts an error. this wasn't the case in earlier versions. bad luck.

As of today, new version of CX-Supervisor is available on omron europe site for registered users. it is full installation version 1.3, as i understand it. regards

jaccov, can you explain how did you manage to connect to PLC from CX-Programmer via internet? this can be very halpfull for me thanx.

i'm not sure you can scroll or use several lines alarm/event summary display, you can on display tab of alarm/event summary properties use display optimisation option, you can also align text left for the alarm/event summary object as a whole. on alarm history you can use Display Time of Occurence/Cancelation in the separate lines option and that's it. the last resort is to shorten the alarm message text or use abbreviate form. you can not scroll inside the label. last question: on settings->system setting initial tab you specify $SB and $SW allocation addresses in PLC for example $SB is SerialA:DM100 and $SW is SerialA:DM105. now you can change current screen by writing the screen number in PLC in DM105. you can see the list in System Memory list in Initial tab of System Setting. hope this helps

you can also open PLC Memory window from CX-Programmer or some other software that has omron's PLC Tools, turn on DM zone monitoring and just copy and paste desired data to excell. hope this helps regards

just to mention, omron SCADA software is one of the cheapest on the market, both developer and runtime packages. and there is no limits on number of tags and price etc. since CX-Supervisor is OPC compatible you can attach it to any vendor's plc. it is very often in my experience that customers with non omron plc requires omron's SCADA since it's cheap but reliable. regards

well, you should use the Edit -> replace -> host function to change the host in the project's object's addresses as someone mention it here. but first you should define new host (system setting -> serial port B choose plc) and NOT delete old host. then you use replace host function for screen or project as you choose. this will replace host on every object in the basic tabs as well as in the expanded tab. as you now in object properties there is expanded tabs. when you export to csv project or page only the settings from basic tabs are exported hence only that you can edit in excell. ah yes, you should have ns-designer 6.2 (included cx-one 1.0) or cx-designer (included in cx-one 1.1) to use replace host function, otherwise you have only replace address function. hope this helps regards

my experience tells me that with replace function from ns-designer you can only change addresses from basic object's properties window and those properties you access when you click on expanded tabs. same thing is with export to csv, only basic tabs from properties window. correction, with find/replace function you can change addresses on all tabs of objecto properties window. but for export to csv is basic only.
