Unable to connect to PLC via VPN.

I have a PLC connected to a router and am able to access it over wifi. The router hosts a VPN server and I have established a connection to it and can access other devices. I am unable to ping/ connect to PLC. Anyone know why? Have tried disabling firewall on my remote computer.
