I keep losing outputs on my Versamax system. Noticed Lan and Stat leds going off and coming back on. Replaced the IC200EBI001 I/O Network Interface for Ethernet Module, Now only the Lan led is going off, and satill losing outputs. Any ideas?

Thanks Jesper, I tried that previously. After a number of hours playing around I decided to try another panel and BINGO we were able to upload without any problem. Perhaps we have a CPU problem?

New to S7. I need to back up all programs on site. I am getting communication between my laptop and the PLC, as I can see the PLC is in RUN etc, I can see all blocks etc. Is there a procedure for backing up from scratch? Please help.

My MMis are telling me that I have low batteries. Can someone tell me what Siemens part numbers I need for batteries for both 300 & 400 CPUs. Also is there a procedure to follow in changing batteries for both 300 & 400 CPUs. Thanks

I have just started in a new company and they have S7 300 & 400 PLCs. What software, comms cables etc do I need to interogate the programs? I have never worked on S7 before. Many thanks

Hi out there. I have now purchased a FX1N-14MR-ES/UL PLC and a FX0N-3A analogue module Also a Bejeur E200 screen for display and inputting/changing counters, set points etc. What I am trying to do is run a small sequence, no problem with the basic control. At some point in the control sequence I am charging a bellow up to a set pressure. When pressure is reached, the sequence carries on. I then de-pressurise the bellows to zero and the sequence starts all over again. Now I need to read this analogue input (1-5Vdc) and use it accordingly. Firstly how do I address channel 1 of the FXON-3A? How does the PLC know that it is a voltage input? Is there a special instruction to be used to do this? What would be the input resolution for 1-5V? Can anyone provide a sample program? Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks

Thanks FNMdeJong. I decided to go with the FX1N-14MR-ES and the FXON-3A, it appeared cleaner. Now the fun begins as I have not got involved with analogue before. Wait for my post!!

Thanks Bob, Those items were what I was looking at, but I was not sure that the FXON-3A was compatable with the FX1S plc.

I need to user a small PLC say 6 24Vdc inputs and 6 relay outputs. I also need an analogue input module to suit this plc 1-5Vdc. Which analogue module should I use? The plc will be connected to a E200 screen to display alarms, counters and pressure.

Hi, I am a first time user of GX Developer and first introduction to FX1S PLC. Could someone explain the following instructions: M8012 M8013 Both look like clocks in the program to make outputs pulse M8000 M8028 just a flag set by M8000 what is the purpose? PLF PLS Many thanks.

Thanks gents for your interest. I sorted the problem out. I used Functions to access the timers and then directly set the timer preset, limiting the value allowed by setting the min/max values allowed.

I need to have two seperate timers displayed on a PV300 screen, both being adjustable by the operator. I have done this by selecting NUMERIC ENTRY CURSOR POINT etc , but beinf new to Panelview and Panelbuilder32 I do not understand how these will be adjusted by the operator. There are 2 timers on the screen. How do I configure, and how does the operator select and enter the relevant data to the timer? Any help would be appreciated.
