Ok guys I have a project was wondering if some one could help me out. I am programming a hydraulic press and I need a ramp over time program that is close loop so I want to wait until the press has stopped moving at a low pressure then at that point take over and ramp say 100 tons to 1000tons over 3 secs while monitoring the pressure transducer I have a prop relief valve to do this everything is 0-10vdc where do I start will the PID function in the RS500 work? if so can some one do an example? or is this the way to go Help!!

Guys, I'm looking to use the AB 845GF absolute encoder to a 1746-IV16 card I understand how to hook it up but what I need help with is how do you program it and how do you get to see the information in a floating point or interger type value? does any one have a program they can send me on how they have done this? Guys, some one help me out here. I have been designing all my machines with Panelview Plus HMI's we got a new guy at work and he is wanting us to convert all of our HMI's to Industrial PC's with WOnderware on them. the industrial PC's are cheaper in price but you have to do the operating system virus protection plus the Wonderware. what are the pro's and con's? JD

Guys, I am running a micro1400 and I want to add two of these http://www.micronor.com/products/files/MR190/MDS_MR190.pdf into my system to give my customer control over pressure and position. is this possible with this PLC and if so how would I do it? as far as how to wire and programming thanks for the help JD
