  1. ML 1100

It depends on the particular model of the PLC.  Some are 24VDC powered, some are 120VAC powered, and one is 12VDC powered.  What is the complete part number?
  2. He is in the top 3!  Now he must work on a presentation for Automation Fair and will be posting updates on his progress at  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqr9nnJswUG2-yAbHxQ8OAw
  3. Amber and I are really excited that our son Michael is a Top 10 finalist in the You Make It Challenge.  The winner will be determined by an online vote.  We would be grateful if you could do the following: 1.  Go to http://youmakeitchallenge.com 2.  Scroll down, find his light blue Sanitation for the World design highlighted in this video and click on it. 3.  Click the ""Vote"" button then select the checkbox saying you're not a robot. 4.  Comment below to let us know you voted. 5.  Share with all your friends, thanks! Thanks TW
  4. Thanks Mickey and Izzybe.  It means a lot!
  5. The routines don't add any true overhead.  This lesson talks about program flow through routines and how they can be used to organize code. https://www.theautomationstore.com/rslogix-500-program-control-jsr-jmp-lbl-ret-sbr-mcr-sus/
  6. Glad you got it working and thanks for letting us know.
  7. Yes, that should solve your problem.
  8. I just wanted to make sure the Channel 0 wasn't setup for DH-485.  Your setup should work from there.  Have you gone into Device Manager and verified your USB to serial adapter is on COM 4?  Also what cable are you connecting to the SLC with?
  9. For device type select SLC. Can you post your channel 0 configuration from your offline program?
  10. Where is X0 and X1?

What you are seeing is a high speed  configuration.  Rung 2 has all of what you are looking for.  I'm guessing X0 and X1 have an encoder connected to them or maybe some sensor that needs a very timely event done when triggered.
  11. SLC 5/04 timer pre

Hi Trevor.  All 16 bit integers in RsLogix 500 are signed integers whether they are allocated to an N7 integer, a counter, timer, or anything else.  You are right, for a timer it doesn't make sense to have a negative value, but for many other PLC functions you can end up with negative numbers. If you need timers greater than 9 hours then you'll need to trigger a counter after a certain time lapse.  I like to use 3600 seconds or one hour.  I've got a video coming out about how to do that.
  12. You say you have a 1762-OF4 but your I/O configuration shows a 1762-IF2OF2.  Which is it?
  13. Have you put it in your I/O configuration?  What address are you looking at?  I:1.0?  You say it is not working, what value are you seeing?
  14. Emulator

One is the RsLogix 500 and the other for RsLogix 5
  15. HELP! Logix 5000 locked!

You are going to need to contact Rockwell Tech Support.  Discussions of password circumvention for any reason is prohibited here.
  16. Hi everyone I have a project that I am looking at involving automated guided vehicles. I've seen various ones that follow wires in the floor and tape. I understand the laser target navigation and believe this is what this project will require given several floor obstacles that will make the wire and tape methods difficult. But this application is also in a very high traffic area so it will require presence sensing devices to make sure it is safe to operate. Does anyone have an experience with AGVs? I'd love to get you input and ask you some questions Tim
  17. Did you delete your harmony files?  See video below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pC-ZkQlBY8w
  18. SLC5/03 download program question

Sounds like your SLC 5/03 has a memory installed.  See page 3 of the following link. https://literature.rockwellautomation.com/idc/groups/literature/documents/in/1747-in010_-mu-p.pdf
  19. You will need a 3rd party translator to communicate from Allen Bradley to the 32i.  Fanuc uses the Focas 2 driver.  When I did it I used KEPServer.
  20. Direct Logic 05 Ethernet

Do you have the RsLogix 500 software?  If not then the I/O count of the Micrologix 1100 should be comparable to the DL05 and uses the free software.
  21. That looks correct as long as your wave generator has a sinking output.
  22. Here is the expanded version that goes through the details of wiring it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRSjloPHHc8
  23. Direct Logic 05 Ethernet

Are you set on the DL05?  That isn't going to be an easy task.  The easiest way will be to switch to a Micrologix PLC, that should be able to message the Compactlogix.  Otherwise you are going to be into some 3rd party translator.
