i use Simantic Manager 5.4 Sp 2 and i want to replace old program with CPU 314C-2DP with new CPU 317-2 PN/DP . However, when i delete old CPU , it also delete all the codes (??) and I am not sure how should i do this to retain all the code...

I ran into an time conflict error on my FB1 after i tried to compile new project with new CPU. IS there a way to clear or find out the cause of this ?

I want to know for A-B PLC with Modbus RTU and Modbus over IP, what are my options .. I am using in-rack Prosoft modules for SLC and Controllogix but I still have to edit codes to manually map individual bits and bytes to modbus registers and this pratice is time-consuming. I don't know if is there any other solutions that more transparent and let me map all data with minimum work...

i ran this problems couple times today and I have not figured out the cause or how to fix. I am using Rslogix 5000 version 15.02.00 and using "cross reference" to look up where of member of arrays were used in the sub-rountine. When I accidently put an array member without a ending spare bracket (]) in the "Name"field ( i.e "A_INT_ARRAY[4" without end bracket), rslogix 500 crashed and give me fatal error. It happened to me repeated 3 times today and i only worked exclusively on these arrays under "cross reference". I happened to differrent arrays so i know the array itself is the problem. Now the problem is i tried to re-created the crashed but i did not suceeded. It seems to me it randomly happens when i was focusing on my project I dont know if anyone here has same problem? should i report to Rockwell Automation and how can i do that ? I attached the screen shots and the error log. I can submit the Dmp. file if anyone requests... BTW, I using Windows XP with SP2

i would also make sure this is not a software or configuration related issue...This might sound strange but i had similiar problem se before when i had a third party module in the chassis and the SLC controller kept faulting when i first power up since it can't get response from this module...I would disable any supscious modules or codes before starting swapping things...

i'm using EASY-SOFT 6 BASIC software to program Moeller's EASY-620-DC-TC PLC. I am struggling to program it since i could not programming manual on this. Specifically, i need to know how to add a memory bit to ladder logic. Anybody here has any idea ? I also ran out of the Timer ( i only have 8 on this PLC model) which is used up and i am not sure what i can do...

I have a program coded in Siemens S7 and the PLC is CPU-314. Customer complains the date and time kept reset to 2004 after power down and i am not sure how to fix this. Anybody has any idea ?

I have S7-314 cpu with 64 kb memory card. I was trying to update my code ( only 1 floating number in one of the FC blocks) and prepared to download. Suddenly, i got low memory message and it wont let me download. Now i stuck with unmatched copy of this FC and i neither can't go online or download it on top of old FC. Is there anyway i can free up some memory or is there any trick to get PLC to accept the download ?

I want to know if there is any "cheap and dirty" solution for A-B PLC controller redundancy system ? I wanted to use controllogix L55 but it going to cost a lot of money to use ControlLogix redundancy system.As described in the A-B manual, i have to have to use ControlNet network with 2 same controller racks consisting of 2 controllers ,2 CNB modules, 2 SRM modules...Anybody has a better idea...
