  1. I was never intimidated by "playing" on a machine. Here's some suggestions so you don't turn thousands of dollars of equipment owned by others into rubble: 1) Force off all outputs, except the one(s) you are working with. 2) Pull fuses of individual outputs (solenoids, etc.) 3) Valve off air supply 4) Turn off hydraulic power unit 5) Pull 480VAC fuses on motors (or disconnect them) 6) Manually cycle the output(s) that your "playing" will be turning on (so you don't crash into something) Be sure to restore a "safer" logic program version BEFORE undoing the list above. Remember, eventually you will need to run everything that your program is controlling. Might as well do them one or two at a time until you feel comfortable.
  2. I never heard of a 90's band called "automated industrial washing process"!
  3. Ooooooppps, I thought this post dealt with a rap artist - MC Chatter!
  4. s:4/0 bit micrologix1500

Point of Information: If you are using a program for a SLC500 processor and you copy it for a Micrologix application in RS Logix 500, be sure to check the status bit you are using under "free running clock". I usually use S:4/4 as a flasher in a SLC. Last time I used this bit for MicroLogix, the thing flashed much, much faster. Dang near wore out a relay output before I realized the problem. In summary, the same designated bits in the free running clock in SLC500 are different from the MicroLogix's.
  5. merge files

I agree with OkiePC in his reply regarding PATH. That's always confusing if you save the offline programs in various folders by project. The default "save" location in the PLC software is not "smart enough", so to speak, to look everywhere for a matching program.
  6. Dataliner to InView

See if this web page will help: http://domino.automation.rockwell.com/appl...5256E130059CD57 Good luck!
  7. If OkiePC is correct, I think what he is refering to is "conformal coating". I did some contract work at Rockwell Automation. I wasn't part of this, but we had a department that did this to PLC modules and PanelViews for "unusual" tough environments. They basically disassembled the device, masked certain parts, then had the "problem" surfaces conformally coated. I know this was done to high QC standards. That department was a part of "Flex Factory". Not sure if it's still called that. Check www.ab.com for more info.
  8. Remote car starting.

The best way to start a car is to install the correct driver first!!!
