  1. Thank you for the info panic.  I am sorry for my many questions. Just want to make sure I understand everything before I even attempt to power the amp on. I think I am good to go now!
  2. Perfect! Thanks a lot for the info and help guys. I will leave the N terminal alone. This is the cable I plan to use to connect at home to my amplifier using my dryer outlet as power supply since my dryer outlet is a 3-prong outlet. I will just connect the red and black wires to L11 and L21 and tape off the white wire so it is not used.
  3. glavanov, lol nice story. That's exactly what I am hoping to avoid with my amplifier. I don't want to fry any boards by wiring it up incorrectly since I am trying to power it in a unconventional method. I have read the manual, but there is nothing about how to power the amplifier on by itself from what I read. That's the confusing part to me regarding the wiring is that the wiring schematic shows nothing connected to N terminal, but the schematic is also representative of the amplifier connected to a motor, which I am not doing. Just need to supply power to the amplifier without burning it out. pturmel has given me a great idea to use a dryer pigtail that will give me 240 VAC to the amplifier, but I just want to confirm what terminals I should connect to. It sounds like I just need to connect to L11 and L21 for my hot lines to the amplifier. I am just not sure if the third wire in my dryer pigtail should be connected to the N terminal or not. Could someone please confirm this part for me?
  4. Thanks for confirming. My home is a bit older which is probably why it has a 3-prong, but I'll consider a 4-prong if I decide to upgrade. Last question concerning the wiring diagram. When I connect the wires to L11, L21 and N, does it matter if neutral is on a different connector than L11 and L21 as shown below? Just to confirm, there will be no wires connected to L1 or L2 either, correct?
  5. Hi pturmel, I like your idea and it seems easy enough. My dryer outlet is a 3 prong connection. If I buy a 3 prong pigtail, it looks to have a white, black and red wire which I believe would be labeled as W, X, Y respectively. Would I just need to connect the black wire to L1, the red to L2 and the white to neutral on the amplifier in this case?
  6. Hi panic, Thank you for your feedback. I do see in the schematic that L11/L21 is tied into L1/L2, but for the purpose of what I am trying to achieve, I only want to power the amplifier on at my house. I live in the US and have a 110VAC power outlets in my home. The amplifier will not be connected to any motor or have any load on it. Just want to power it on so I can connect to my computer to view and load parameters using mr configurator2.
  7. Thanks for the reply guys. That's what I was afraid of. What if I use a step up transformer to take incoming 110v from wall outlet to the transformer and output 220v from transformer to servo amplifier? Is their a reason why the AC power needs to be on L11 and L21 and not L1 and L2?
  8. Hi guys, I have a Mitsubishi AC servo amplifier [MR-J3-70T w/ option unit MR-J3-D01] It is currently not physically connected to any motor or device so their is no load. I only want to power the amplifier on so I can connect to my computer to view and load parameters using MR Configurator2. Can I use 115 VAC or 24 VDC connection to just power the amplifier on so I can communicate with my software via mini usb cable? If it is possible to use either 115 VAC or 24 VDC power supply, which cables do I need to connect and to where? Attached is the wiring diagram for the servo amplifier I have. Thanks for your help and time!
  9. GX Works2 Simulator not Starting

Hi Wasan / Crossbow, Thank you both for the additional suggestions. I have never had to do either of these methods before for the simulator in GX Works 2 to work before. I did, however, try both of your suggestions. I tried it 3 different ways. 1st with just compatibility for Win7 checked. 2nd with run as Administrator checked. 3rd with both of them checked. None of them worked. I also spoke with Mitsubishi yesterday and they suggested using the clean up tool to uninstall the program and all associated folders. They also suggested deleting the Mitsubishi folder in the registry. Reboot and re-install the SW. Unfortunately, this method also did not work. I still can't get past why it worked correctly when I ran the program in safe mode with networking. I first tried it in just safe mode, but it didn't work until I ran safe mode with networking. This leads me to believe that it is a Windows environment issue and it is related to networking. My only assumption is that perhaps something else is using part of my network that my GX Works2 simulator is trying to access. I'm just not sure how to troubleshoot this idea further to isolate this.
  10. GX Works2 Simulator not Starting

Ron, As I mentioned in my first post, I am not connected to any external device. This would include PLC. I am opening a project file saved on my dekstop and starting simulation. This morning I tested GX Works2 simulation in safe mode w/ networking and it worked no problem. Rebooted and tried again in normal Windows 10 environment and it is still not working. Definitely some issue with the Windows environment. Just not sure what is causing it.
  11. GX Works2 Simulator not Starting

Hi Ron, Thanks for your reply, but issue is not CPU. CPU is i7-3820 How is my cpu telling me its the problem? As I mentioned in my post, the simulator was working fine a few weeks ago. Software is also not issue. I installed the software on one of my Win10 simulators last night and the simulator function worked no problem right after install finished. FYI... My Windows 10 simulator is on the same computer as the one that is having issues. I'm sure re-installing Windows 10 would probably fix the problem, but would like to avoid this if I can since I have a lot of programs installed and don't really feel like spending a week getting my system back to where it is now.
  12. GX Works2 Simulator not Starting

Hey guys, I'm having an issue with the simulator function in GX Works2. I've never had an issue trying to run the simulator before until now. It was working a few weeks ago when I last used it. I am not connecting to any external device when I start my simulator. I am simply loading a project file and starting the simulation. I mainly use this in conjunction with GT Designer3 when I want to run GT simulator for the GOT. I have uninstalled the program using the Melsoft clean up tool and re-installed several times now. It's now to the point where I am really frustrated and am thinking that GXWorks2 is not the problem and perhaps some other setting on my Windows environment has changed.   For some reason, it's not letting me upload images in my post so I'll describe what was on the images. When I start the sim, Write to PLC window opens, but stays at 0/11 and (Not Responding) is displayed next to Write to PLC After about a minute, it times out and I get a pop up <ES:0180840b> that states unable to communicate with the specified CPU or station.   Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
